Ohh Tea Bubble Tea & Desserts — Restaurant in Brisbane City

We went to the shop after reading several good Google reviews. But ended up having one of the worst experience from a bubble milk tea shop in our life.

We ordered matcha milk tea, brown sugar rocks and the original eggette. When we received the order, they don’t look like the photos shown from the menu.

The matcha milk tea tasted very powdery, imagine adding talcum powder into the matcha milk tea, that’s how I would describe it.

The brown sugar rocks, the pearls literally tasted like rocks, as the pearls are as hard as rocks.

As for the original eggette, the photo says it all. It’s very soggy and the middle isn’t cooked. The textures are basically plastic.

In addition to that, we had one of the worst customer service from the staff. The staff were talking among each other that they forgot to add pearls in the matcha milk tea when preparing it, but the boy decided to serve it to us instead. So we had to remind him we can see that there were no pearls in the matcha milk tea. After he fixed it, he forgot to give us the eggette we ordered. So we had to wait for another 10 minutes for him to make it.

I would give -5 stars for this shop if possible, unfortunately there isn’t an...

This place has changed hands in the past year. Used to be an old man who was pretty rude, but now it’s run by some younger people.

I got a drink $5 off through their new system, which is absolutely horrible. Doesn’t allow you to order ASAP - which completely defeats the purpose of “skipping the cue” as advertised. The drink I got was almost full of ice (despite asking for 75% ice) and was very sweet.

The drink my partner got was watered down, with literally no flavour. Worst of all there was no pearls because they ran out (literally in the hour they opened on a Saturday…)

Even worse was the service. We sat for 15 minutes before going up and asking about our drinks. The server then proceeded to tell us that they ran out of pearls… but then awkwardly enough providing no solution, just said they ran out of pearls and stared at us…

Drinks need a recipe and clearly the guys who make the drinks need to be trained in basic communication. Would...

I regularly get bubble tea but my first time to try here. First time to have to use a touch screen to order bubble tea (it’s like those McDonald’s self order screens). Ordered the signature one, there wasn’t a customisation on the screen that I could find to change the sugar level but as soon as I clicked to finalise my order, a guy came out from within super fast and greeted me. I asked him if I could have just a tiny bit of sugar he said yes and I was SO SURPRISED how fast he made it. I’m used to waiting for a while when I’ve ordered anywhere else. I enjoyed the signature one (I normally get earl grey or oolong or Ceylon black milk tea with little to no sugar as my go to), I liked the half half white jelly(?) and black Pearl topping too (it’s like two topping textures and sweetness without having to order a second topping).
