This restaurant has very little in terms of redeeming qualities. When I sat down, a cockroach ran onto my body and one of the waiters had to catch it from my body. Unhygienic. I get it, cockroach infestations are probably common in the business but to have one crawl onto my body, the infestation must be pretty serious given that the food sources should be in the kitchen! What made it worse was that there was ZERO RESPONSE from the management, ZERO APOLOGIES NOTHING. I didn't react to the cockroach because I only saw it after it was caught but maybe the management just pretended nothing happened even though the boss lady was right there as the waiter caught the cockroach. And what made it doubly bad even though this was only 820pm was as I was eating my meal, the boss lady came up to me 3 times to ask my to pay the bill now (so she could do the accounts as I later observed!). Each time I said sure thinking they would bring the machine over and by the third time, I explicitly asked her to bring the credit card machine over. Essentially, she was asking me to interrupt my dinner and walk over to the counter to pay. After what happened. Ridiculous. Initially I thought maybe they were closing but checking now, their closing time on google says 9pm and this was at least 40 minutes before (so it was just a rude boss lady wanting to me to pay early FOR HER CONVENIENCE so she could close the accounts for the day guessing that her customers were likely finished at this time). So POOR HYGIENE, NO APOLOGIES and POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. And the cooking was average. We can forgive Chinese restaurants with poor customer service if the food is delicious. This restaurant has does not deserve a free pass for running a place with cockroaches running onto customer's bodies (and it was witnessed by others at the restaurant so not making this up) compounded by poor customer service and average food. Have a look at the other reviews, boss lady with poor attitude/ poor customer service also noted by...

I recently visited a restaurant in Pineland, Brisbane with my wife, and the experience was highly disappointing. The professionalism of the staff was severely lacking, raising serious questions about how they maintain approval from health authorities. Despite our food being served, staff members began sweeping the floor right next to our table and continued mopping shortly after. This unsanitary practice is unacceptable and shows a blatant disregard for customer comfort and hygiene standards.

We ordered green beans with tofu and steamed fish with rice. Unfortunately, the beans were undercooked, adding to our dissatisfaction. Plus, there was a hair found on my bowl of rice. I didnt have a chance to take pic but they change quickly. This visit marked our third time at this restaurant, and it is disheartening to see such a drastic decline in service and food quality. The management clearly needs to address these issues urgently. Proper staff training on appropriate times for cleaning, especially during meal service, is essential to ensure a safe and pleasant dining experience. Based on this visit, I no longer feel safe eating at this establishment and cannot recommend it to others. The manager must take immediate action to uphold basic standards and improve both the service and the...

I can't vouch for the authenticity of this place - but it came strongly recommended by my pharmacist (who is from Taiwan) when I asked his suggestion for a Taiwanese restaurant. Turning up just after opening, I was the only patron to begin with a few more trickling in as time went on.

Food - I didn't know what to expect. I have a weakness for noodle soups (Phở, laksa etc) so went with the Braised beef noodle soup. Only a ten minute wait and it was wonderful. Loved the texture and flavour, only minor criticism was the salt could be dialled back slightly. The portion size was almost the size of my head and very reasonably priced.

Service - I don't speak Mandarin (and can't read the traditional script either) but the serving staff (counter and waitress) were both very polite and well presented.

Atmosphere - what I would expect. Clean, tidy and appears well patronised by the appearance of the furniture.

I'll certainly return when I'm next in Brisbane, perhaps for dinner and try one of the...

Worst experience ever!! We came and order 1 dumpling dish, 1 beef Noodle and 1 vegetarian rice. Dumplings came in about 10 mins, and beef Noodle came about 40mins+. The waitress just dumped the bowl and walked away. The noodles were obviously been sitting in the bowl and cooled off, sticking together as in photo. Another 10 mins past and we decided to cancel the veg rice since it hadn't arrived. Just as we complaint, they brought the dish. We noticed that 2 tables that came after us had the same dish, and it was quite obvious they were served incorrectly. Further, when ordering the veg dish, we asked if there is been curd (tofu) in the dish, to which we were told there were none. The waitress can't even explain what is in the dish. After all that ordeal, not a single word of apology. Not coming back again!

The food here is delicious, there is no doubt about that. I would highly recommend trying their braised pork belly dishes if you are a fan of pork belly, it is cooked to perfection. There is definitely the taste of Taiwan in their food. Perhaps the only knock on this place is the cost, it is probably a little overpriced (expect to pay at least $18-25 a dish for most things, with anything seafood costing a whole lot more) for what you get portion size wise. Nonetheless, overall a nice place to come have dinner with a few mates so you can grab multiple dishes and try a bit or everything!
