Midam could be described as a hidden gem tucked away from the general public's knowledge, but ask anyone whose been there and they'll tell you what a bustling little diamond this place is.
Ambience | 5 ⭐
Midam on a Saturday night is busy and filled with cheer. The conversations of those around you weave in and out of the sound of your meat sizzling away on the racks in your table. The air is filled with a comforting smoky smell that entices the soul. This place is tightly packed on a busy night but it never felt too crowded. The vibe here is something else.
Food | 5 ⭐
Boasting on their menu that their meats are locally sourced, I can vouch that they are also delicious. We enjoyed a variety from the all you can eat menu including beef, pork, octopus and more. We also had some salad, fried chicken and chips on the side. Cooking our own food was a new experience for us and it was pleasantly satisfying to work with top quality produce and create our own meals. Delicious, fun and a great experience.
Price | 5 ⭐
Our group of 6 opted to get the buffet all you can eat. We also ordered drinks on top of that. Altogether, the bill was $300, so an average of $50 per person. Considering the absolutely excellent quality of the meat and the fact that you can eat as much as you want we found this price to be very reasonable. You should note that there is a $20 fee if you don't eat everything you selected which is a great way to encourage people to select only what they wish to eat.

We were seated quickly and the menu was explained to us politely and promptly. Once it was explained, we were left to serve ourselves from the buffet and we called over servers when we needed replacement cooking racks or extra drinks. Overall the service was good and considering how busy they were we were well taken care of.
Overall, Midam is a great experience to jump into the world of Korean BBQ and cooking your meat yourself with their fantastic variety of high quality locally sourced meat and reasonable pricing. Thank you for having us and we hope to...

We booked a table and went in with our family of 4 and a family friend of ours. Soon after we ordered our meal. Until now it was fine and well, we were excited to get our meal. Things started to get worst after that moment, no one was paying attention to our table for the whole 20min. The steamed Egg dish came first our of nowhere, even though there was nothing ready on the table; I MEAN IT, NOTHING includes side dishes, etc. Then the Wagyu set we ordered came next before the hot stove even came to the table for us to cook ourselves.
The WORST thing out of todays experience was the cold noodels we order at the beginning; 3 normal and 1 spicy, which came after an hour and 15 minutes. Once we finally got it, we were so excited but straight regret after one bit. It was so TASTELESS. Those normal ones have a funny smell and the texture felt the noodle was overcooked, and the soup with the noodle tasted the water and tasteless(tasted like nothing). The spicy cold noodle did have a very strong black pepper taste after the only thing I can taste from it was the l Taste of soaked chill power water.
Before we finish up, I made some comments to the owner(lady) saying that I know you guys are busy as we can see, but the outcome of service andthe way it was dealt with was terrible. The answer that came from her excused, she said; because our staff were short, because of their water flooding out from the kitchen, etc, she wasn't ready to listen to the comments that customers are provided from their experience. From that, I’ve lost my calmness little and told her that, if you want to give a customer a good experience with your restaurant, please try to just listen and accept the fact that you made a mistake.
Last but not least, at the counter for payment, I heard that my friend faced an angry lady(the owner) throwing the receipt and the payment machine at him (not sure she intends to do it or not).
From all these experiences, I had the worst experience ever in...
Read moreWe’ve had two experiences with Korean BBQ and to be very honest the dining experience we had at this “restaurant” was terrible. Starting with the service… we were new to this restaurant and did not know much about ordering or the buffet. The staff sat us down and neglected to explain what we could order and how the buffet works etc. they were not friendly and due to not being aware of the way things work in that place, we didn’t know what to do in order to receive a plate for food from the buffet. I decided to use one of the plates that they had given us from the set we decided on after somewhat figuring out how to order food, and went to the buffet. As I was walking back, I was yelled at and asked why I had that plate and who said I could grab food from the buffet, I wasn’t aware we had to order the buffet as it wasn’t explained by staff, she took the plate of food away from us which we would have been willing to pay for had we been told. I do not appreciate being publicly yelled at and humiliated due to staffs negligence and lack of care towards customers. The lack of hygiene in this restaurant is appalling… hazards everywhere, slippery floors and all kinds of substances on the floor along with a cockroach. Overall a very uncomfortable experience. Will not be returning as that is one of the worst experiences ever. Also overpriced for the food and...
