While the burgers and staff were outstanding, my experience involving the coffee and barista did not follow suit. After ordering myself a humble cold brew from a very friendly and helpful waiter, I was denied and rendered incapable to consume the beverage that I had payed for. There is no law that states coffee is unsuitable for anyone over the age of twelve, so when I found that myself, a sixteen year old male, could not even order a coffee of sort, I was disappointed and turned away. After reaching a compromise with the barista, whom I believe goes by the name of Ben, I was offered a weak diluted half stength latte of which I was not satisfied with. After braving the wait lasting almost fifteen minutes, I was rudely served my weakened beverage. The coffee was violently dropped on the table, hardly full and without a saucer or teaspoon to accompany it, which is assumably default in any standard cafe. While the coffee was fairly decent and to my liking, it was not what I had initially ordered and was genuinely unsatisfied with my treatment as a paying customer. This unfortunate experience somewhat led to the loss of my appetite which is a shame because the burger was beautifully constructed and very tasty! Overall, I would like to see an improvement involving the barista at your establishment and his perspective and attitude on agism and the views involving the consumption of...
Read moreI want to love this place and I once did, since it first opened, we Ilto come frequently, but we decided it’s not worth it anymore due to the quality being hit and miss and the negative experiences have far out weighed any good ones now. The last many times I’ve been the burgers had barely anything them and covered in so much sauce it’s sickening. The last smoothie I got wasn’t even filled to the top of the cup. It’s expensive and you get ripped off feeling hungry after dropping a lot of money. The worst part is the consistent unfriendly service (or lack thereof). Once a server completely ignored me as I ordered just gave off this vibe that I was bothering her the whole time and didn’t even say hello. I was so taken aback at her rudeness and unfortunately she served us again at at Marie’s, owned by the same people and again was sour. But this is just the usual at these establishments and the cringey hipster wannabe type workers with zero ability to be friendly has turned us off big time. Sorry old maids and st Marie’s but your service seriously sucks and the food is average. Super disappointing but you should know this is what’s up. I could go on but I’m actually...
Read moreMy partner & I arrived in no rush to a chilled atmosphere. We had good spirits and felt hearty initially, though as soon as we talked to one of the servants, confusion over communication arose. The person seemed to not comprehend clear english, so in response we offered other languages as options for them. Then, the person appeared rude to our perspectives, increasingly confused, continuing to converse in ill mannered English, mixed up our order & became sullen and cold. We payed cash for a 33.3 dollar meal & later on found out they charged us for chips we didn't receive. We sat in the slowly depressing atmosphere with our number 24 & after an hour of waiting, intermingled with questions about the chips, which according to the staff was "on the way, no worries matey", we left feeling disappointed & unfortunately depleted of faith...
