I will start with the positive, the food was decent.... and that is kinda were the positive review ends unfortunately as I came here once before and my partner twice before and had a much more positive experience, so here it goes. We arrived at 11:30 as it was the opening time and we were surprised to hear one of the staff members swearing and carrying on and looking at us and did not open the door for five more minutes, (don't get me wrong I understand it may have been a mistake and they may have thought they opened the door so no big deal on that one) so we arrive at our table and are given menus while we are deciding we can hear the employees swearing back and forth to each other complaining about other staff members more on this soon. we wait for around 15min for the lady to come and ask what we would like keeping in mind we were the only two people in the resturaunt at that time, so I got up to go order and was immediately shot down and told "no I come to you" I found that interesting as she hadn't... so while we are waiting still being the only two in the resturaunt we begin to hear more yelling and swearing and arguing not just in the back but out behind the bar and it was extremely unprofessional and also just uncomfortable as the public we are paying customers we don't want to go pay our hard earned money at a business who's employees are acting so unprofessional, and the the yelling calms eventually on the 30ish minutes that we wait for our food which is fine, but we started to look around the resturaunt and noticed quite alot of food on the floor and this wasn't the middle of the shift this from the moment it opened and we were like I said the only ones there and did not yet have any food so it had clearly been there from the previous shift which is completely unsanitary, any way we got our food and like I said the food was decent.
Now to be fair I fully understand the pressure that can be put on employees in the food industry due to many factors including short staffing ect but at the end of the day customers are paying for a service and if I feel as though we were robbed of enjoying out time together as we were just so uncomfortable with the shamless screaming and yelling we contemplated leaving the entire time but felt to guilty after they had begun to make our food but maybe we should have just left I'm not sure. Everybody has bad days so maybe this was just one of them I don't think I will be taking my chances...
Read moreCame in last night with my girlfriend and friend around 6pm, when walked into the place we were greeted 5 minutes later after the bar staff had finished their conversation. Once seated we were given a menu and a bottle of water which we finished off pretty quickly as it took around 30 minutes before we were served. We ordered entrees, main and drinks. Shortly after we received 2 out of 3 of our drinks. 10 minutes later still no drink. 20 minutes later we received 1 out of 3 entrees, we were pretty confused and asked the waitress that seemed to be avoiding our eye contact where the third drink was. She said sorry she forgot to put it through and got it shortly after that. The first entree was the deconstructed samosa, in which it came out just like a mixed vegetable salad with no dressing and no spice what so all. As you could see through into the kitchen you could see that the main chef was talking on his phone and doing orders at the same time. In which this took him around 45 minutes to not only get out the other two entrees but also get off the phone. The kitchen staff weren't wearing any hair nets, and looked like they didn't care at all. The waitresses were standing around talking to one another and looked like they were pretty over being there. The second entree that we ordered was the lamb ribs, in which we were served three fatty ribs on a plate, not too impressed with that. The loaded naan which was our third entree was quite nice, but very much below standard and what you would expect. For main we ordered 2 x the shared curry plates and 1 x the prawn curry. Served luke warm, by the time you finished it was cold. Very salty and the comment was 'happy i didnt get food poisoning'. The shared curry was ok. Bit surprised when it came out as 1 and not 2 separate meals with we had ordered. The butter chicken was the best part about it in which the chicken was dry. After taking a bite out of the other two curries i didnt even bother continuing the rest. Best part about the night would have to be the naan bread. ...
Read moreSadly only 3 stars. While most of the food was good, half of our drinks were forgotten, no one bothered to serve our table and ask how everything is or was or let alone if we need anything else like dessert etc. It was 17 degrees and we were placed at a big open floor to ceiling sliding door with a draft when we arrived. I asked if the door/window could be closed as we were all cold, sadly they left it mostly open leaving us cold, also the request to have a different table in the warmer parts of the restaurant weren't heard although the same size tables were still empty when we left, btw we were the only people seated here, everyone else was nice and cosy in a different part of the restaurant although we had a table booked. The restaurant was 1/2 full during our visit with plenty of staff about so nothing to do with that. Beer was reasonably priced at $12 but when your glas is left 1/3 empty its dissapointing as was the overall experience. We had our desserts elsewhere in the end and our bill was also including the drinks we never got and had...
