Clarification on a particular review that mentioned my review is incredibly inaccurate yet the other review did not state 100% the truth of what happened. 1. What actually happens (It's long. I'm sorry but it seem neccessary before someone painted their own picture) Once we reach the cafe, we have sent 1 person to check if we can request for a table that could fit 6 pax indoor. One kind waitress offered to help us arrange 2x extra chairs and a kid chair near the window. That table is the only one available indoor & spacious enough to fit some extra chairs w/o getting into other patrons' spaces. So we have decided to walk into the cafe and patiently wait at the side. We have not moved any furniture and after waiting for about 10 mins, the waitress that offered to help was no where to be found. We decided to reach out to another waitress at the counter. We asked for some help on the chairs and she mentioned that we can't expect her to move furnitures from other tables to give it to us. First of all, that is not what we expect the staff to do. We were under the impression that someone could get some extra chairs for us and not take it from another table. Yes. She has mentioned that there is a table outdoor. We had declined that offer because it was approx. 41 degree outdoor and we have a toddler that couldn't stand the heat. We will be more than happy if the staff told us they can't accommodate the request politely and were ask to leave. But instead, we were being told off and said declining the table outdoor is OUR PROBLEM. Not sure if this is really the attitude for a cafe with 5 star service. We are more than happy to be offer another solution of splitting the table but we were told off and ignored after. Staring at us, making small talks to other waitress and laughing the whole time is their solution instead. We decided to stay still because we saw the good review and we can't judge the cafe's food as it is based on that 1 person's attitude. We have no issue with the rest of the waiter and waitress. We ended up splitting ourself up into 2 tables without moving any of their furnitures. The toddler ended up sitting on the normal chair too. So please do tell me where is the abuse of the poor staff and the moving of furnitures comes from? 2. There are more than 1 waitress at the counter while we were there and I've not specifically mentioned that waitress is in the image I've posted but seem like ppl have assumed who it is. The photo meant to show what we have ordered, and as you can see, there are no sharing plates on the table so where is the moment of offering to move plates? We ordered only after being told off that it's our problem for declining the table outdoor. 3. We did not finish the food so how did a toddler at the age of 2 hold up a plate made of glass/ceramic and start licking it? What's the point of pulling in an innocent child in a review. 4. Language. We have not used a single inappropriate word/vulgarities in the review or in the cafe. We are a foreigner in a foreign country and we are educated enough to understand to mind our own language. We did not want to cause trouble onsite so we had what we could and leave. So really, is that review entirely true or just how ppl are treating ppl? Felt that I need to make my point and not being accused and I've done it. I wish to not engage in any further negativities. Thank you. My Review A terrible experience that ruined a perfect morning for me and my family. Seems like the high rating on Google doesn't realistically reflect real-life experience. Food is mediocre at best. What's terrible is the attitude of one particular waitress at the counter. The real problem lies within self-reflection on what's appropriate to treat an Asian family of 6 with 1 kid in this day and age. So disappointing that I highly wouldn't recommend it if you have a toddler and also looking to enjoy a peaceful brunch when you are coming over for a holiday. Not worth being treated with a bad attitude and prejudice no matter how highly rated the place is online.

We wandered around Bunbury and found this little cafe. Very friendly staff and quick to assist with any queries we had. We ordered the Homemade spicy beans and the big breakfast. Good flavours, well presented and the eggs were perfectly cooked (well done to the Chef) The only downers was the menus are well worn and the bench seating (while comfortable) transmitted every movement from any additional customers sitting further down the line. I know you can always control the actions of other customers, but did not enjoy being knocked forward while trying to eat and drink. Had we had access to the smaller tables I am sure this would not have been a problem. Would happily go back for the food, drink and service, but it would all hinge on where I could sit and would love to see the menus in better condition.

I’ve been a regular at this café for a while now, and it never disappoints. The coffee is consistently excellent—smooth, rich, and expertly brewed. But the real standout is their matcha—easily the best in town. It’s perfectly balanced, not too bitter or sweet, and always made with care. The food is just as impressive: fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Whether it’s a quick snack or a full meal, everything I’ve tried has been fantastic. Prices are very reasonable, especially given the quality. To top it all off, the staff are always friendly and welcoming, creating a warm, relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to come back. Highly recommended!

Once we reach the cafe, we have sent 1 person to check if we can request for a table that could fit 6 pax indoor. One kind waitress offered to help us arrange 2x extra chairs and a kid chair near the window.

Out for a leisurely breakfast, we thought we would give The Townhouse a go, as it had good reviews. Sadly, our experience was not as good as the reviews suggested. We ordered an Eggs Benedict with avocado and a big brekky with fried eggs, then sat down with our $9 apple juice to await our meals. The restaurant itself is cosy and welcoming, but a little cramped. We were also offered a table in the hallway, which was beyond unwelcoming as it is pretty much outside and is the main thoroughfare between the kitchen and restaurant. When our meals arrived, I was somewhat alarmed to see that my Eggs Benedict was a bagel (not a huge deal although I'd have preferred it to be toasted) and had spinach where there should have been ham. When I pointed out that I had been served Eggs Florentine, the server argued with me that it was eggs Benedict and, if I wanted bacon on it (happy to have bacon instead of ham) I'd need to pay an additional $6. Her argument was that the menu states it's served with spinach, which is true. My argument was, I ordered by speaking to the cashier. When I asked if they had eggs Benedict, he said 'yes', therefore, I expected to get Eggs Benedict, not Eggs Florentine. It does not matter what your menu says, you cannot state you serve one dish, then serve another without making people aware that you have changed the very structure of a globally known and accepted dish. Eggs Benedict has ham, Eggs Florentine has spinach, and Eggs Royale has salmon, those are facts. If you are not going to serve Eggs Benedict as Eggs Benedict, call it something else. What's even more galling is that The Townhouse has a photo on their Google search of the 'Eggs Benedict with avocado' and it has bacon on it! So, I was left with an attempt at Eggs Florentine (the spinach was raw) without so much as an apology for the misunderstanding. As I mentioned, the bagel was not toasted, which was unfortunate. The eggs, however, were cooked perfectly and were delicious. The hollandaise sauce was bland, as it had no acid in it that could be tasted, and needed salt. The big breakfast was lovely, with a beautiful sausage, decadent serving of bacon, and well cooked eggs. The only downside was the huge lumps of bread on the plate that had to be moved around in order to eat the other food, and were unseemly to eat. Would I go back? Sure...but I certainly wouldn't be ordering the Eggs Benedict and would be ensuring that I read the fine print...

The previous review about townhouse told from the perspective of an individual with the “Asian family of 6 with 1 kid” is incredibly inaccurate.

I was there at the time they were and they were moving furniture around without permission and when asked to stop as politely as possible, they decided started abusing the poor staff. There were bigger tables for the family to all fit together outside and just further up near the counter. Staff offered to help move plates to the bigger table so they would have more room but the family chose not to bc they wanted to sit near the window, which if you have been here the front window spot where you can see in the photo they are sitting is a four person table max. So the “bad experience” they had here is due to their bad attitude and entitlement. In this case the customer is not right they are just incredibly arrogant.

My partner and I have been going here nearly every second week for the last year and they have never failed to serve amazing food as well as always be happy and bubbly constantly. Staff are always welcoming and lovely.

And to post a picture of the staff who are trying to do their job on the internet without their permission is truely disgusting have some respect for others. I wish I got a photo of you so I could post your photo to help warn other customers and companies of you horrible attitude to wards others.

Not every place has to accommodate for your needs! Find somewhere else to go and keep your negative energy away from this hidden little gem. Us regulars don’t need that type of energy in our spot. Feck off the dome where you are guaranteed heaps of space and yuck food, it seems you’d fit in there with your yuck attitude :)

Edit: they also are all of their food left no crumbs whatsoever ever. Their child was even licking the plate. So the food was obviously not mediocre to them what so...
