You will not be disapointed. Hands down the best lone star in WA. I have been to ever loan star rib houses in WA and none have even half of the level of hospitality bunbury has.
After walking around Bunbury for something that we couldn't get at home, we felt a little disappointed that we could only get a table at lone star. We personally don't like the lone stars in perth but this restaurant hands down has changed my thoughts on the chain. This owner and manager is doing an awesome job.
Atmosphere: 5/5 They had decorated it for Halloween which looked awesome. The staff are friendly. We felt so welcomed but all the staff. It was decently busy too but the staff never forgot about anyone. They had bangers playing and the staff were dancing. Clinton is a one star show tho. That man made everyone feel comfortable and even encouraged us to dance and sing. He really made our night.
Food: 4/5 they had new menu which we were sold on as soon at their manager Clinton (Queen of bunbury) explained the menu. The food tasted amazing. My rump was cooked PERFECTLY medium rare, I am hard on steak cookers because the never cook it how I ask. Partner had the new waffles with chicken,bacon and maple syrup. We were so imprest with this level of flavour mixture and the chicken cooked PERFECTLY aswell.
Drink: $6 for constant soft drink refills (we pay that for a small bottle at any BP)
Staff: 4/5 The only reason I subtracted a star was because another server came upto ours while she was serving us and told her what she was doing wrong in front of us. The professional thing would be to wait until she had finished with us then told her on the side. We felt bad for our server because it just wasn't fair. However, employee of the month for all lone star rub houses across the world, Clinton made up for it. This man has so much enthusiasm for his job, it was so refreshing. He should be employee of the year. He was super friendly, make great jokes and helped us with questions about where to go in the area. Her was also an incredible entertainer for all tables. He is quite a legend

I ordered my food with the supervisor ( walked with a sport shirt around, not professional at all) that night, I told him just wanna have wedges instead of chips for the steak special , he said we can’t do that , I said I will pay extra but he ignored that and said instead no only chips get served with this steak. Then the steak was pretty average bit tough and the salad dressing only you tasted was sugar . The supervisor was a few times looking at me but he didn’t even ask me if everything is fine with the food, he was not interested at all. The girls who worked that night were friendly but you could see they are not really trained in the Job how to carry food etc. Definitely I missed the older friendly Manager that night who really that care of his customers and made always a special night.
My recommendation for this steakhouse . Train your staff to a good level of customer service that’s all what customers want !!!
Wow, the response from the owner tells me I’m a liar!!!!!!!!??? I think he should better listen to the customers than I said I’m working the past 30 years in the hospitality . And not 30 years ago !!!! $2.50 for less then a 1 table spoon of Whole egg Mayonnaise I found that a bit over priced , I just told it at the till. And also the supervisor who write this response came never to my table and asked me if everything is fine. Why should I make that up ???!! The young lady with her tea towel over the shoulder came to me and asked if she can take the plate and ask me only if I want a refill of my coke. As a supervisor or Manager you should first better response your honestly and not telling your customers I made this up. If you can’t take critics or handle them professionally then don’t work as a supervisor...
Read moreIf I could give you minus one I would! The place was busy when we got there and we had to wait a few minutes to be seated which was ok. There was three of us, two adults and a child. Drink orders were taken quickly and then within 5 minutes of taken the drinks orders they were asking for meal orders. Geez give me some time to make my mind up! After placing our order we waited and waited and waited and waited and finished our drinks and waited and finally called a waitperson after waiting 45 minutes to ask how much longer we would have to wait since tables who arrived after us had got their meals before us. One meal arrived and was thrown down on the table missing parts of the order. When we finally got the attention of the waitress, she was impatient and couldn’t get away from the table quick enough. The steak that was ordered was over cooked- should have been medium, was well done. At this point we were STILL WAITING for a kids meal and another entree sized meal. Asked to speak to the manager and was told that the manager was too busy to speak to us! It wasn’t until we started talking about having the drinks comped that the manager decided to actually get involved and he doesn’t really care about what you have to say, he just wants your money. Only ate the food because we were hungry and there was NO WAY that my husband finished all the food on his plate. Stay away from this abomination of a restaurant, they don't care about their clientele just how much money they can...
