My partner and I dined at Mojos for their valentines set service menu.
Unfortunately our waiter seen us once when we first arrived to be seated, he presented us with our menu and 15mins later took our orders, we didn't see from him again that night, and we looked on as he attended other customers all night. My partner had to go up to the bar to ask for a beverage re fresh two times. We got there at 7.30pm, waited 45mins for our starters- 8.15pm, the wait after starters was 55mins before we received our main meal, we left the restaurant at 9.30pm because of this. We never got checked on asked how we where going did we need any refills on drinks nothing. The reason for my partner attending the bar asking for drinks we because of the lack of service at our table and then he was made to feel like an inconvenience to the staff.
Very disappointing we didn't get to eat our dessert there we got it in a take away as Unfortunately we had already spent such a long time waiting on our food already we had to go home. The young man who was serving other tables and attended ours to give us our food was lovely and a great work ethic waiting everyone's tables.
We did receive a $14 off one of our beers but total cost for the night was $250! Such a disappointment won't be going back.
There was no apology from waiters for the such a long wait on our food, people who arrived 1hour after us received their starters and mains within the hour.
It wasn't until I addressed our issue with the lady taking our payment that their was any accountability regarding our experience tonight....
Read moreI've been here on many occasions, and early on in my experiences I would rave about how amazing they were - their food, the service and even the range if drinks. But sadly after visiting for a couple years now, I have found the quality in all of these aspects has substantially dropped.
Being a gluten and lactose intolerant vegetarian, I ordered the Harrissa Aubergine with high hopes. What I was presented with shattered the vision I held in my mind. Yes, it was presented beautifully at first glance, but upon closer inspection it was evident that the aubergine slices were over cooked and dry, whilst the rice was cold and congealed; the dish literally left a bad taste in my mouth.
As for the service, indeed they were polite, but that is the nicest thing I can say. On many occasions myself and my dinner guest have been waiting at the register for 10 minutes or more in hopes of being served or offered to be seated. On a busy night this would be understandable, but thus has not been the case - coming at a lull where there are no people to be seen inside the restaurant, you'd assume staff would be rearing to serve you, but alas it is not so. Tables are left uncleared and floors unswept, for the entire duration of our hour or so long stay. Not the best thing you want to see or think about whilst eating.
Finally, the price is the only thing to have NOT changed - it is still a pricey place, which is concerning considering the new quality.

Entree was octopus of which was cooked to perfection but the garlic sauce and celery of which I had stringy bits had been not removed. Was average in flavours and texture. The bread i ordered, of which was sour dough came out toasted ( so not fresh enough to serve without toasting it ) I had order the fish which was awful the fish was dry and overcooked the vegetables were soggy and a tiny amount of brue blanc sauce as a decorative feature on the plate was an inadequate amount for the fish. My friend also did not enjoy her feel. Crumbed Pork chop which a a lot of fat. The coleslaw was soggy and no apple at all that she could taste. I explained to the management the issues with a meals.
