We had an amazing experience at this restaurant. We arrived around 5.30pm and surprisingly the restaurant was empty. We got a window table and saw the amazing sunset over the beach. Stunning views. As we were being seated we asked for the kids pasta for our toddler son who was starving, and said we would order our meals after we decided. His pasta came out in less than 5 minutes. He absolutely loved it. The waiter warned us the bowl was hot and grabbed a plate so we could cool down the pasta fast and our son could eat off. We ordered and the meals came out after about 10 minutes, we were very happy with the speed. I had the creamy garlic prawn linguine. Delicious, and a very generous serving of prawns. Normally you only get about 4 prawns in a dish like this, but I had over 12 king prawns in my pasta. Really tasty. My husband got the special which was pulled lamb with veges. He says it was also delicious with a generous serving. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating - especially to our toddler who got a colouring pack with crayons and a cup of milk with his dinner. Dessert was cheesecake - again, delicious. Our son got the ice-cream. We requested no sauce, so they offered sprinkles (which delighted our son). By the time we were leaving at 7, the tables were starting to fill. I'm amazed the restaurant was not busier (though it might change in the summer months). This restaurant is amazing and great for families. The staff were fantastic. We will definitely be returning when we are next...

I rarely come here, but notably always a great experiences, with their food always being delightful over the past 10+ years that I've been a customer.

This visit I checked their menu before creating the booking and was delighted by the food options. To be honest, they made choosing difficult because it all sounded so good. What I was surprised by though was the decent pricing.

However, it occurred to me upon arriving and during the meal that the food isn't why they're not fetching a better price for their menu. It's the tacky decor, the damaged flooring, and the little things like servicing butter in foil. The lighting could also be lowered, to create a better ambience and give better visibility through the windows to look outside - which would be a delight since there is a world renowned Jetty out there and a gorgeous Fig Tree.

I felt like I was eating food from fine dining, in a venue that should be fine dining (given it'sremarkable location), that was more like a venue of a good family restaurant.

It really did make me wonder if that's why you didn't have more guests. Then again, it was a cold Sunday's winter night.

Would 100% recommend for the food. The quality of the food is well worth the visit, despite the lack...

The view was nice looking out to the water. My husband and I ordered the $40 Scotch fillet steaks and they were cooked to our liking. The waiter was friendly and courteous. However, when we went to pay our bill the two waitresses at the front desk were having a heated discussion. We waited patiently for one of them to serve us, all the time being privy to their argument, but after asking twice we were told abruptly that they would be there in a minute. My husband then asked again and we were given the same response and the waitresses both walked off. Annoyed at this stage I left the restaurant. Eventually a staff member standing behind the bar called out to my husband "are you waiting to be seated or to pay?" He told her he was waiting to pay then said "if no one wants our money we are fine with that". Finally we were able to pay our bill and move on with our evening. Very unprofessional behaviour which definitely tainted our...

Was quite excited to taste the food and soak in the view of the sea from equinox. Although the location is great, that’s where the comparisons to greatness end. The interior is a little basic and uninspiring and unfortunately the food matched that in taste and appearance. We tried the fish burger and seafood pasta and a medley of fried ‘seafood stuff’ that looked like it was as far from something that came from the ocean that you can imagine. Everything seems to have come from the depths of the freezer rather than the ocean and every bite was just relentlessly bland and tasteless. On the plus side, the wine was nice and priced well and helped mask the deep-fried-ness of everything else. Overall the lunch was a let down and it’s a shame as with the location and better food, it could have been a lunch to remember rather than one you want to forget as soon as possible.

We had a lovely lunch sitting outside in the terrace. Food is generous in servings and good. We enjoyed a pizza, scotch fillet steak, seafood combo and the barrimundi. Service was friendly and prompt. Lots of beer and wine choices. On the day we came they offered a big selection of wines on sale at $25 a bottle. Our chilled chardonnay was very drinkable and a real bargain. They dont really do desserts offering all day cake and coffee instead. We enjoyed a moist pistachio and orange cake and date and coconut slice. The coffees were very good. Our long macchiato more like a Melbourne flat white, delicious. I would take some of the other reviews here with a pinch of salt. All hospitality venues are suffering from staff shortages, we need to give them a break. If you are after a pleasant lunch on the waterfront in Busselton, this us a great choice.

Fist of 3 visits : read the whole review Terrible service and awful inedible food Great spot gets it 2☆ June 2015 - updated below July 2016 Been back since the refurbishment and it has improved a good deal on appearance and the service was pretty good. I feel the refurbishment is lacking a bit of warmth and the steel tables with compact laminate tops is not great, looks kind of cheap. Its an improvement but I was hoping for more. From 2☆ up too a 3☆ Only had coffee and my kids had pancakes.... not too bad and a marked improvement. I may try again Back again and improved beer menu (still not great) music and open till 9 ish on a Sunday. The goose closed at 4 !! Great service, lovely lady and improved outdoor area. The indoor is still echo-y and not great but grab a beer and sit under the fig tree on a still evening.... beautiful
