As much as I try to like Coffee Club, they keep making this impossible. Visited the shop in Claremont today. Just like the other ones I've been to recently, the shop is understaffed, the service is unfriendly, the food is terrible, the coffee fails all basic standards. To make things worse, the costumer, upon placing the order, needs to inform the table number they will be seating, even if they haven't spotted a free table yet, and have been a few minutes in the line awaiting patiently to be served. Why don't they handle those old fashioned yet effective number signs at the counter, instead? It blows my mind that the "masterminds/marketing people" behind chains like Coffee Club worry about the "big things" while negleting "small", practical things such as using number signs instead of fixed numbers on tables. Oh, i could order from the table. Really? The QR code wasn't operational this morning. Why do I keep coming back to this place, i ask...
Read moreVIP member and regularly visiting various CC franchises..was extremely unimpressed with disappointed with the following. Ordered an almond croissant warmed, which appeared stale, doughy and cutting through it proved cumbersome! Unlike many others had in CCs elsewhere! Ordered two pots of English Breakfast Tea /milk seperate..only to receive an absolutely insipid pot of tea, basically hot water with a smidgeon of tea leaves..utterly weak! When returning to staff with request to put some more tea leaves, to flavour this brew to standard levels found everywhere else, was curtly..without apology..was told to ask for more leaves upon ordering🤷♂️ We never asked for a weak brew, of hot water, with a hint of tea, in the first instance? Clearly significant cost cutting measures have underlined this business ..stale food n minuscule tea leaves do not cut it!!?? AVOID THIS CAFE..many better ..fresher.....
Read moreStopped in at Coffee Club Claremont and ordered a small Pepsi Max, muffin, regular latte, and chicken & avocado flatbread, costing around $34. My friend's muffin and drink came out first, but my meal arrived 20 minutes later, so we couldn’t eat together. I asked for a side of Sriracha sauce and was told there’d be a charge. I said that’s fine, expecting maybe 50c. About 10 minutes later (when I’d nearly finished eating), a sauce portion no bigger than a bottle cap was brought over, and we were told it cost $1.40. When we reacted, the staff member snatched it off the table and walked off without a word. Overall, overpriced for what it is and the service was rude. Much better cafés just downstairs in Claremont Quarter..... go...
