Very dissapointed. I ordered the farmhouse; the onion and bacon in it appeared to be microwaved and it was generally really unpleasant. The potato itself was lovely though. With so many options on the menu inevitably there will be the need for pre prepared food as opposed to fresh that day. It's definitely nowhere near as good, fresh and tasty as Praties. I also got three desserts (cakes). No indication of when made or use by date. Again, did not taste fresh. The customer service was lovely, it's unfortunately the food itself that's a let down. House of Spuds has been my fave go-to spot for over 10 years. Moved to Melbs about 8 years ago and searched for a place that compared to HoS. I never found one and I never shut up about HoS, telling everyone I met about it in hopes they knew some secret magical spot. Was Served an off milkshake (and I mean off as off could be) was given food (for my partner & I) for free but can’t eat it & quite frankly can’t trust it will be safe to consume. I Feel violently ill (I accidentally drank a mouthful as I was so thirsty after a trip from Laurie to Devonport..) manager was informed by staff after I let them know & they cancelled milkshakes for the day.
