Their food is clearly well-known and loved by many, as the place is always crowded, especially on weekends. My review is not about the quality of their food, but rather to highlight some issues that need improvement. I believe they are also short-staffed. The available cooks seem overwhelmed handling the orders, while the female staff at the counter appear disorganized (or perhaps just exhausted, or simply inexperienced).
For customers, if possible, avoid placing delivery orders on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday nights unless you are patient enough to wait 30 minutes to an hour (or maybe more). This is also a reminder for all delivery drivers to be cautious when accepting pick-up jobs from this place. Please avoid taking two or three delivery orders at once from here—especially if the order is under the name Jason/Arber, with the address 45 Noble Court, Dianella.
The reason is that either he or his wife will pressure you to deliver their food first, claiming their child is starving, making you skip other deliveries. But in the end, they cheat by reporting that they never received the food. What a terrible thing to do! I have learned this lesson from my...
Read moreWaitress was polite and kept checking up on us to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Wait times were hectic, we waited 40 minutes after ordering for dine in food, but heard people who had placed online orders who had been waiting 2+ hours. Definitely lowered the mood of the meal hearing how horrible the waiting time was. There was like no ventilation inside the restaurant and smoke from the pizza oven legit made us cry the whole time we were sitting in there. We weren’t sure what was worse, waiting 2 hours for food or sitting down inside waiting 40 minutes while on the verge of tears. I got the prosciutto pizza which was good, I’ve had on par pizza at other locations, and we got the gnocchi bowl as well. Food is alright, there’s heaps more Italian places in Perth that offer the same thing for the same price without having to wait as long. Just the vibes were not it and the workers were not at all apologetic to the poor people waiting outside for their online orders. Felt like offering them some of my food I felt that bad. Wouldn’t come here again xxxxx We’re driving home from dinner and our eyes are still sore...
Read moreDa Leo has opened a new branch (I went out with friends and automatically went to the one in Balcatta ) - there is a new place they opened in Dianella (not far from Coventry Village). Some of the guys I went with are from Naples in Italy so they are quite knowledgeable in their pizza - when I heard the pizza cook was is from Naples I knew we were going to have excellent quality pizza. Service was good (the girl looking after the floor was new to the place but kept up the Service timely and precise). The Wagyu Bresaola pizza caught my eye - all the others seemed quite interesting too - the base was thin yet consistent (considering the Burrata placed in the middle of the pizza could have made all pizza bases soggy) and the edges were fluffy and light - a true pleasure to eat. Make sure you book ahead to avoid disappointment and make sure you wash it all down with their Chinotto - hard to find...
