There are 3 fruit/veg stores, 3 butchers plus a specialty butcher thats sells emu etc, 1 health food store, 1 very average bakery, a pattiserie, a chicken shop, a deli, 2 fish shops, a florist, First Coice Liquor, Plonk, pet store, asian store of some sort, book store, Food Lovers, kitchen store and organic cafe. There are probably some things I've missed but you get the gist. Nothing is particularly cheap though. Cuppacumbalong eggs that cost $7 in Supabarn Casey cost $9.50 here. Quality seems good and choice is not bad but Fyshwick markets offer more in the way of choice. Read moreAfter visiting the wonderful Fyshwick Markets yesterday, I felt compelled to finally write a review of the new Belconnen Markets, or Capital Markets or whatever they are calling it now. I feel so sad that Belconnen residents have lost what used to be a fabulous fresh food/produce market with great variety and choice. Whilst there are some excellent tenants (old and new) at the new markets, the biggest issue for me is having a single fruit/veg/green grocer shop.
