Edit: I ordered the soy ginger whole fish again the next day after my first visit and it was packed with sweet and savoury flavours and then 3 days later which is today, I went back to get a prawn tom yum soup & it was the most comforting soup I've had in this winter season. Absolutely love Chong Co even more!! āØļø Ever since I spotted the Chong Co sign pop up outside my apartment a few months ago, Iāve been counting down the days until they opened their doors. My family and I are longtime Chong Co fans ā weāve frequented the Belconnen and Kingston branches more times than I can count ā so having one open in Dickson felt like a dream come true!
Tonight, my mum, aunty and I finally paid a visit to the new Chong Co Dickson and let me tell you⦠it did not disappoint. We ordered all our go-to favourites: the chicken Thai fried rice (fragrant and flavour-packed as always), the crispy pork belly with kailan (perfectly crunchy and tender), the soy & ginger fish (so fresh!), and of course, the rich and comforting beef massaman curry (a warm hug in a bowl). Every bite was a win ā the kind of meal that makes a chilly winter night feel cozy and full of joy.
The staff were absolutely lovely ā friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Itās always the little things that make a meal extra special, and they nailed it.
Please, if youāre in the area, pop in and show some love to this wonderful local gem. Theyāve nailed the vibe, the food, and the service. Letās keep them thriving for many years to come!
Thank you, Chong Co ā youāve got a loyal regular in me. Iāll be back (probably sooner than I...

Service is quick, though booking a table is a must as itās become very popularāand rightly so! Canāt wait for the second floor or outdoor seating to open so thereāll be a bit more space. There was an option to bring your own bottle if you fancy your own wine (corkage fee of several dollars per person) but please check online before heading to the liquor shop. We are lucky to live nearby, but there are various parking options if you drive - as well as the bus and tram stops. Government workers are lucky to be in this precinct :) Our favorite restaurant in Dickson as of yet! Soup + main dish + a glass of wine cost us about...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSaw the good reviews but was disappointed with the food, fish cakes - too rubbery- tasted like they were microwaved, lamb shank Massaman curry, lamb was tough and tasteless and curry too sweet and too much coconut cream, prawns were a good size but soft and tasteless and the Makram sauce too sweet, crispy pork was chewy. It seems that the protein had been cooked previously and just thrown into the food at the last minute so the protein did not absorb...
