The bakery is located inside the Design School which makes it a bit tricky to find for first timers.

Croissants and pains au chocolat (chocolate croissants) are amongst the best I could find in Canberra.

Croissants are not too big and weigh around 78g. The many many layers masterly baked produce a fluffy, buttery and flaky texture inside. The outside is covered by a beautiful, thin, shinny, golden crunchy crust. They look beautiful and have a sweetness similar to what you can find in a good croissant in France.

Chocolate croissants are the best in Canberra in my estimation. If you are keen on having chocolate croissants it’s best to come early. By 9:20am they were sold out.

On that day almond croissants were underwhelming compared to the plain croissants. A little flat with little almond and too sweet.

Croissant: $4.90 Pains au chocolat: $6.90 Almond croissant: $8.50 Pain aux raisins: $6.90 Tart slice: $7.50

Friendly service. French speaking welcome here. Indoor seating available. Parking is always tricky inside ANU.

Definitely a recommended bakery for croissants and pains au chocolat.

PS: Would be nice if there were more production but that might impact quality. So make sure to be there early for the freshly baked viennoiseries.

PPS: 5 stars for the croissants and pains au chocolat. But 4 stars overall because of the location, the limited trading hours and no phone number to...

Incredible food every time. Baguettes are absolutely classic French, crunchy, packed full of flavour and usually with a healthy amount of real egg Mayo. The tuna baguette is an all time favourite for me, but the egg baguette is a very close second. The Plat Du Jour is not currently available (COVID strikes again) but the Soup de Jour is back on the menu with seasonal fresh flavours determining what is on offer. Always warming, flavourful and with a side of delicious crunch baguette. Not the place to go if you need or want to make lots of special changes, it's designed for fast service with everything on offer pretty well as is. If you want to be sure of cakes or sweets you can pre-order and delight your friends or colleagues with a flaky tart, croissant or other classic French offering. Prices are good, especially for the city type area. A...

I’ve heard a lot of positive things about this place from my French friend for its baguette and other French items so decided to finally drop by.

Came here yesterday but to my own disappointment because they ran out of all their savoury items by 2:20pm.

Tried my luck today with their potato & capsicum soup de jour, but noticed they only serve it at 12…? (Don’t know why my fate ends up like this considering I came here at 11, a lot earlier than last time xD)

They were unfortunately out of their egg on sourdough toast as well, and only had quiche slices + vegan salads left. I resorted to the vegan salad and found it quite mid.

I got a large iced latte on the side (which definitely didn’t wasn’t large lol) and it was very...

My favourite French bakery in Canberra. Tucked away in ANU, and rightfully by the School of Art. I believe and not a lot of people would know about this place but you best believe they serve amazing pastries, cakes and baguettes! I always come here for the baguettes that are served at 11:30 am. More particularly the Smoked Salmon and Brie baguette. The staff are always amazing and shout out to the French speaking staff who allow me to practice my French. Look out for their soup of the day and/or their daily specials. Oh and they do sell the French biscuits and sweets imported from France.
