Rent is high but things don't get properly repaired. Classic example: the two lifts are (not an exaggeration) always faulty. It has been a norm to come back and see one of the lift completely dead, which is terrible considering how many people live in this large building (and walking up the staircase is not even an option). Even when both are working, there's still going to be something wrong for sure (like the close button isn't working in one of the lifts, and the floor selection gets cancelled from time to time). Please fix them properly instead of using whatever cheaper stopgap measure that you've been relying on. The tumble dryers also keep breaking down and are often left without repair for ages. I was a summer guest a few months ago. I was considering moving in as a permanent resident but by the end had decided against it.

Cons: Expensive, not really affordable for the avg part time/casual uni student Very dirty room upon moving in. Thick dust on top of cupboards and skirting boards, the sink and the shower were so filled with gunk that it took ages for water to get through Terrible customer service specifically from one guy at reception, who was blatantly rude and accusatory. He didn't seem to want to be there and addressed people in a patronising manner. My experience w this guy was particularly shocking hence the low rating

Really great student leadership and staff. The quality of room however for the price is what makes it negative.

Was a resident here all of 2022 in a standard studio. The AC hardly ever produced cold air, even after I cleaned the filter myself. I had a corner room to the internal courtyard so there was no airflow or sun light. Made temperatures insufferable. The average resident who lives here is rude af, 99% chance they won’t acknowledge you after you say hi in the corridor or lift.

SRs did a great job with events, it’s clear they value their roles and put their heart into it (unlike some other halls).
