I ordered a large fresh orange juice today because I had been unwell and really wanted one freshly prepared, not from a pre-pressed bottle. I understand that bottled pressed juice can also be fresh, but its pre pressed and already prepared when, I don’t know, which is why I was happy to pay extra for the fresh option.

When I ordered, the staff member went to speak to her colleague and they conversed in their own language, which I happen to understand. I clearly heard the colleague say to another colleague if she should make a fresh one and she has closed the machine. They were teasing each other, but instead of explaining this to me, the staff member simply poured juice from a pressed bottle into my takeaway cup.

When I questioned this, I was told the bottled juice is also fresh. I even explained that if I’m paying $10 for a smaller “fresh” juice, when I could get a larger size of the bottled version for the same price, how does that benefit me? It felt misleading and dodgy.

If they had politely explained that the machine was off and offered the bottled option instead, I would have understood and accepted it. Instead, there was no apology, and the staff member bluntly said, “I will refund you,” and handed back the money. I also noticed unprofessional behaviour between the staff, including hitting each other, even if just in fun.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I believe the customer service team should act politely, communicate honestly, and not dismiss customer requests. This experience was disappointing and could be improved with better communication and...
