Very friendly service at East Perth. Had a Pepper dog, which was very nice although I can't understand the kind of sausage they use. It was a somewhat coarse beef sausage, similar to burger meat and hence I was not sure if I was eating a sausage or a burger. I would have preferred a more generic sausage. The fried chips were just soggy and short (like the leftovers found in a bag of frozen chips). Although not tried, I would suggest to go for a safer and healthier option and order the salad instead.
So I got this feedback from the Sausage maker and since there isn't a reply buttom to a reply, here is my reply: I am hoping he/she was sarcastic in suggesting that I may prefer those red sausages (or any other that you can get from Supermarkets)! Yuk! When I suggested a more generic sausage, I did not want to bring up my heritage as an argument, but here we go... Well, my surname is Schmidt, how much more German can you get! I know a bit about sausages and there are more varieties in Germany then a butcher can count on his chopped off finger tips. I would love for her/him to stand in front of a German Butcher and suggest that all kinds of parts are added to the mix! Why not try some of these in your range, some are...
ย ย ย Read moreI was looking for a nice place to either have a coffee or a drink while being able to have a shout-free conversation without missing out on a cool ambiance. The Wassap Dog fit the requirements perfectly. But it didn't stop there.
From the amazingly welcoming owner and staff, to the very cool and cosy decor, to the originality of the menu (gosh, they even picked a new way to spell words! haha) and the deliciousness of it all, this was a delightful place to share a meal and enjoy a fun conversation.
They also provide all kinds of options to suit different dietary requirements and are very good at making suggestions. I actually drank and ate things that I did not for the life of me think I would like. The chips are to die for, for example and the Frenchman hotdog is surprisingly good. They even have games and the atmosphere is so welcoming that you might find yourself sitting with some total strangers and enjoying a game. You can definitely tell that this place is a labour of love from the owner and that he puts his soul into each food he creates. He also treats his patrons as family, which is a nice plus. Definitely want to go back and spread the word. This is the kind of business I would like to...
ย ย ย Read moreThe people working here are nice. Will talk to you if you need help in choosing what food. Asked for the best one they gave me frenchmen with chips with sauce. Checked the menu and read the story of the owner(Jules). Thinking "huh surely he is somewhere on holidays or hangover from partying last night" Coffee is so good. First bite of the frenchmen i already knew wassup dog is one of the best place to eat. The chips which is homemade is a must when you go there. I am not even going to ask what is the sauce to keep coming back. Finished our meal knowing I will rate this 5/5. And one of the staff that greeted us when we entered approached us and asked hows the food i praised and said food here is one of the best here in perth and said that jules really deserve this from a hotdog stall to a restaurant etc etc. 2 seconds later I was like wait are you jules? And yes he is jules i was flabbergasted lol. He is so humble and as we talk he is obviously tired. Me and my gf left and she said that he is definitely tired and probably he did the preparation from 4 or 5 am because foods here are made by them (My GF is a previous...
