Took my son to watch Man Utd got in nice and early with some good seats at the front thinking bests seats in the house. 4:55pm our seats swiftly became the worst seats in the house and not just us with this view but a few people complained before we took action. A group of kids stood in front of us so all we could see was backs of heads. We asked them nicely if they could move and the parents clearly clueless to the fact that this was having on other fans enjoyment. It was clear to see by the looks on these kids parents faces that it was more convenient for them they had been away from them and ruining other people’s enjoyment they choose to ignore this obvious fact.

I then spoke to the nearest security guard asking him nicely if he could speak to them and move back to the seats they had selected as this was impacting me and my son and a number of other fans around. I thought he understood and at least from a health and safety perspective he would have done the right thing!! How wrong was I about this thoughtless and gutless security guard. Instead of talking to these children and even explaining to the parents the dangers of blocking an entire walk away and being selfish to the fact fans could only see back of heads. Another security guard comes down near us and stands looking at us as to say don’t ask the kids to move! In absolute disbelief we give up our seats and move away. I told the security guard what I thought of him and his colleague and that was wrong and at least from a health and safety perspective this was wrong blocking an exit in an emergency. They would have had obligation to do the job right from that perspective and imagine if that was a real emergency or terrorist incident. The security guards in question would have been in serious trouble!!! But because it was kids and ruining our enjoyment and several other people’s pleasure. They took the foolish and lazy option to some how turn it on the guy that asked them nicely could they move them so we could see what we came to watch!

This is the second time to.the WACA and both times had issues with the security they clearly have no common sense and have no idea about health and safety! If they did they would have recognised this exit aisle/emergency exit for fans in that area was at risk!! Hopefully someone in management sees this and speaks to the two security guards in question and the manager to get them better trained and educated! Rather than all walking around trying to walk like they have two rolls of carpets under their arms and thinking they are intimidating and coming across confrontational!

Thanks WACA we enjoyed our seats from the back and you made us feel so welcome yet again! The ground is dated, the food and drink is over priced and your security needs a face lift and some proper training on health and...

My visit to the WACA Stadium in Perth was an absolute delight, and it left me with a lasting impression of Australia's passion for cricket and the rich history of this iconic venue.

The WACA Stadium in Perth is a cricket lover's paradise, and my visit there was a dream come true. This hallowed ground has witnessed some of the most thrilling cricket matches in history, and I was fortunate enough to experience its magic.

First and foremost, the stadium itself is a marvel. The picturesque setting along the Swan River, coupled with the breathtaking views of the city skyline, creates an unforgettable backdrop for cricket. The well-maintained grounds and modern facilities ensure that spectators have a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

One of the highlights of my visit was learning about the history of the WACA. The museum on-site is a treasure trove of cricket memorabilia and offers a fascinating journey through the sport's evolution in Australia. It was enlightening to see the iconic moments and legendary players who have graced this historic pitch.

The atmosphere during a live match at the WACA is electrifying. The passionate fans, known for their unwavering support for the home team, create an incredible ambiance. The crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd, and the tension in the air make for an...

The WACA has been Western Australia's "home of cricket" since the early 1890s, with Test cricket played at the ground since the 1970–71 season.[3] The ground is the home venue of Western Australia's first-class cricket team, the Western Warriors, and a Women's National Cricket League side, the Western Fury. The Perth Scorchers, a Big Bash League franchise, also play at the ground, which is branded #TheFurnace for those matches.[4]

The pitch at the WACA is regarded as one of the quickest and bounciest in the world. These characteristics, in combination with the afternoon sea-breezes which regularly pass the ground (the Fremantle Doctor), have historically made the ground an attractive place for pace and swing bowlers. The outfield is exceptionally fast, contributing to the ground seeing some very fast scoring – as of February 2016, four of the nine fastest Test centuries have been scored at the WACA.[5]

Throughout its history, the ground has also been used for a range of other sports, including athletics carnivals, Australian rules football, baseball, soccer, rugby league, rugby union, and international rules football. However, recent years have seen most of these activities relocated to other venues. It has also been used for major...

For what is now, a minor venue in the Australian cricketing landscape, it plays its role well. It was lacking significant facilities as a major venue but I understand upgrades are being done for upcoming Women’s World t20 tournament next March. It’s a place that delivers nostalgia and memories - Scorchers’ triumphs, Ashes victories, World Cup match-winning centuries. It’s a place of regardless of what it is, people still hold fondly onto it. Since there’s no more major international men’s cricket matches being held there, I actually feel there’s been a significant improvement by the WACA in its match day catering options and prices have become lower, as opposed to previously contracting those services out. If the WACA Ground gets the funding to become the boutique ground it wants to be, it will be an excellent venue. But for now, it does its job adequately.

Attended the final game of Test cricket that England will here from 14-18th Dec 17, 3rd Ashes Test, the result went the wrong way! Stuart Broad going for 142 runs for zero wickets certainly didn’t help! I was fortunate to watch the first 2 days from hospitality, the buffet & drinks were excellent & went down very well! The ground has character & it’s great to see grass banking which my friends & I watched the game from on the 4th & 5th days. There is a small museum which is well worth visiting, if it’s still there now & not moved to the new ground. The public transport links from the city centre made getting to and from the ground easy, it’s also walkable in 20-30 minutes. There are restrictions on what camera equipment you can bring in, a 200mm lens or less is ok, anything more has to be handed in for collection at the end of play.

Mesmerising experience at WACA. I loved the exquisite ambience at WACA. The tour in WACA was a fabulous one, guided by Mr. Evans, former International umpire. It was a "dream -come- true" moment for me when I stepped on the lush green outfield of WACA. I was also spellbound by getting an opportunity to step inside the historic dressing room of the stadium where innumerable cricketing greats shared their moments of glory. The entire trip around the stadium also included entry into Members' room, Commentators' room, Stump Lounge, Don Bradman's room, Third Umpire's room etc.
