Vista Restaurant at Comfort Inn Grammar View — Restaurant in East Toowoomba

The service by the young waitress was very very good in this place the menu basic but balanced ordered dinner entrees presented perfect the mains were also presented perfect but found the lamb cutlets to have an off smell and tasted off only to be told it is the Parmesan cheese which as a restaurant owner myself thought Ok whatever but I am not eating it and politely declined another meal and opted for a desert instead after sending my meal back . When given the bill was told I had to pay for the cutlets even though I believe they are off so asked To get the meal taken off the bill. The gutless boss sends the young waitress out to tell us that if we don’t pay for the rotten chops and I did try to cut and eat each one of the three only to feel yuk in the stomach .to tell us not to come back to his restaurant. I wouldn’t anyway but I can see why there are no customers there. This type of bullying putting the young girl in the line of fire is disgusting and disgraceful. As a business owner even though I was not happy with my main would have overlooked a one off as I understand some meat especially boned meat can turn quick and would still have recommended to others this place but seeing what I saw tonight think this guy should see if he should be running a piggery instead of a restaurant....

I walked into the restaurant at 6pm, greeted by a lovely lady at the bar/being the hostess, I ordered a glass of red wine Shiraz to be served and the garlic cheese bread which was delicious perfectly cooked, not dry with a slight crunch on the outside of the bread, then after I ordered Rib-Fillet medium which was perfectly cooked and the delicious kipfler potatoes which are boiled and pan seared and tossed with an all spice seasoning with some steamed al dente vegetables, serving sizes are perfect and a nice view in the restaurant of some trees...

I have been to this restaurant in the past and it was so good. The staff and food were absolutely beautiful. But Thursday night, my partner and I walked into the building and was summoned to the counter as to what I was doing. We wanted dinner at the restaurant then the lady said that the restaurant was for guests only. I didn't want to argue with her and promptly left to find somewhere that will take money from us for dinner.
