READ MY REVIEW ON THE BOTTOMLESS DRINKS! You'll thank me later! But first, the food. Beef brisket moist is to die for!!! The moist cut does run out very early - but its soo gooodd I hope they can find a way to stock up more to feed more eager dinner. Because it really will be the big hit of this place.. and it would be a shame if it keeps selling out early. Maybe use the Lean cut from all the extra cooking for another menu item? So that you can make more Moist cut... Dunno if that idea will work, im not a chef However, the best way to enjoy your food is to put the meat (brisket, chicken, pulled pork or sausage) on a piece of their FREE bread, top it with their FREE onion & pickles, and load it up with their FREE bbq sauce..... Delicious!! They have been very generous with all these (and not sure how much longer it will be free - hopefully always!). Though some people mentioned tap water isn't free (I didn't ask). If so I think they must provide it for free as it is the law for liquor licensed premises. Speaking of drinks though.. the bottomless drink is such a good value. In fact, this is single-handedly the best value non-alcoholic drinks in whole of Perth. A mere $6.95 gives you access to unlimited proper sodas like Coke, Fanta, Sprite (unlike Lone Star's non-brand sodas.. yuckkk!!!) and fresh-brewed Iced Tea with FREE fresh lemons! One of the best tasting lemonade in town!! - Then you can use the provided cup lid to bring some for your journey home. And once you're home, reuse the cup for daily use - yes, its a high quality plastic cup! Not paper cup like ones from Maccas and the likes Some people complaining about the paper & plastic cutleries (though I wonder if they complain equally when eating fish and chips in Freo or burgers joints). The good thing is, these are all recyclable and does not need to go to landfill. It would be a good initiative if they provide two types of bin, the general waste (food) and recycles (plastic). If people know things are going for recycles.. I think they will be much more forgiving. Anyway, can't wait to come back for more......... and please make that bbq sauce bottled and ready to buy. I need a box of them at home!!!

My visit to Frank's BBC Texas Smokehouse today (Sunday) for lunch was a delightful journey into authentic Texas barbecue. Arriving before noon, the atmosphere was tranquil, with just a few tables occupied, setting the stage for an intimate dining experience. The menu selection was ambitious for two, including the half link of chilla sausages, chicken wings, brisket, half a pork ribs, and the dirty loaded fries. Each dish was a testament to the skill and passion infused into their cooking. The food was nothing short of delicious. The meat on the chicken wings and pork ribs was so tender it effortlessly fell off the bone, a clear indicator of their meticulous slow-cooking process. Alongside the exceptional food, the friendly staff and prompt service contributed to a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Priced at around $70 for two people, the meal was a great value for the amount and quality of food we received, leaving us feeling very full and satisfied. The only slight drawback was the use of wooden cutlery and cardboard service plates, aimed at promoting an eco-friendly vibe I assume. While understandable and appreciated, the cutlery didn't quite match the quality of the meal. However, this minor detail is far from a deal breaker and certainly wouldn't deter us from future visits. In conclusion, Frank's BBC Texas Smokehouse offers an authentic and delicious Texas BBQ experience, marked by their friendly service, succulent meats, and commitment to an eco-friendly approach. Despite the minor hiccup with the cutlery, I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking to satisfy their barbecue cravings. A solid 4 out of 5 stars, and I eagerly anticipate my next visit.

This venue is fantastic, I am blown away by what has been done here. It was like I was back in the US again. Staff are amazing, people are very friendly, when diners were leaving the team were wishing them a goodnight. 10/10 for atmosphere, staff, and venue. Food. Brisket - $9.95 per 100g, or $99.95 for 1kg The meal purchased as pictured was $36. I sadly walked away still feeling hungry as the appetite I had was not at all satisfied. Just over 200g of brisket cost more than $20 which seems a bit expensive for the cut of meat. I understand there are overheads, but the meal was a $22-$25 dollar experience at best. The half link of sausage was similar to that of what you could find at Woolworths or Coles. Very lackluster. Potatoes were, just average. If they were hotter, they may have been better. The whole meal was served at a below medium to cool temperature. Felt like it has been sitting in a food warmer for some period of time. That was the most disappointing part about my experience tonight. I expected to walk in, order some food and have something prepared in front of me. Instead I see all of the food as pictured, pulled from food warmers, sliced and served in seconds. Not fresh enough. The smell of a Texas BBQ was missing, and is well needed for a more authentic experience. More Texas BBQ menu items would've been great. No offense is meant by the review, your venue is amazing and the potential is there. Do more with it. Australian diners won't get the concept of a Texas BBQ, or possibly put photos up showcasing what Australian diners should expect. Sort of an education piece for them. I wish you the best of luck.

Just three stars because I'd love to see these guys evolve and make some improvements. There's a great potential here: massive outdoor area with a real 'Texas BBQ' vibe. Food is great, a little pricey really but whoever's in charge of the meats deserves a massive shout out- keep up the great work! Unfortunately other areas are quite a let down. Starting with the service.. the very young girls were friendly enough, but having not been here before I ended up ordering and receiving my first course immediately- well before my friends arrived. The process was not explained to me at all- (NOTE: meats are served immediately from a hot box.) I was not offered or directed to napkins or cutlery, and with the layout these bits don't jump out at you. Secondly and most importantly, the drinks. A list of about 7 or 8 imported beers, I think all pale lagers with one Californian Pale Ale on offer... I get that maybe they are going for the American Vibe across the list but a true American Vibe would be more to have local craft in my experience. Perth has exceptionally good local beer now and given the circumstances we all have an opportunity to support local rather than pay Millers and Bud money to drink sub-par wee-water. I didn't look further than the beers but there was no 'bar' in sight-- there's an opportunity to offer a small range of decent spirits, a few whiskies and a gin perhaps, as well as offering a couple of good quality LOCAL wines. BBQ and red wine is one of lifes Great Pleasures. Another thing I would add is that in my visits to the US, they looooove condiments. On the tables at Franks they have these big wells with Salt and Pepper, and BBQ sauce (delicious). There was easily room there for a ranch sauce as well as napkins and cutlery. Just an idea... I really want to love this place as I live nearby and the food and vibe are great.. I just hope they keep evolving and don't rest on their top-notch meats. Please feel free to contact me with any questions guys and see...

This place has so much potential and I do hope the owners take everyone’s feedback onboard!

The highs for me were the venue, the music and the staff - all of these make the atmosphere great. Made us feel like we were back in Texas! Despite being cold, the pulled pork was lovely and tender, and beers were reasonably priced.

The lows: Reading the past reviews we were worried about items selling out so we chose to come in on a Monday for lunch knowing it would be quiet and thinking surely we’d avoid disappointment there. We were so wrong! Mac n cheese and brisket sold out. The two dishes I came in for! Half rack of ribs for $18.90 were smaller than the palm of my hand. When we asked what we got with these tiny ribs for that price the girl offered us a complimentary slice of bread out of a bread packet. I asked for butter and was told there was none. Asked for a selection of sauces and was told they only had one option. Asked for napkins and was told they don’t offer them(they do have sinks and dryers in the diner which is pretty cool) but this meant us having to clean up a spill at our table with toilet paper!

We were 3 out of 5 diners during our time there today. I feel if the owners can afford to have the 6+ staff on during such a quiet period, that they can afford to have one of them washing dishes as opposed to using disposable everything.

A few other suggestions - consider putting a menu board out near the pavement, introduce combos or share platters to the menu, increase meat portions, get on top of demand(broke my heart that food was sold out!!), roster smarter, there were way too many people standing around doing nothing.

Thank you to the friendly staff on today, but until we see better reviews from satisfied customers, we probably won’t be back. There are much better options for Texan...
