If the review was for the coffee it would be a 4 or 5, the food also a 4 or 5, have had a selection as been coming here since early 2020. I usually search for an AllPress or Campos coffee place where ever I go because the roast is consistently good so even an average Barista makes a good coffee. So why a 2star (and it hurts to give it), the service. It was unecessarily slow. Having been in fast paced hospitality for a number of years, will explain. There were 4-5 staff. It was "Order and Pay at Counter" so not full table service, this frees up staff for other things. The Barista was trying to do 3 jobs instead of 1 (in peak times, like today 27th January) which greatly affects the pace of service. To double the pace of service have 1x till person who takes orders and money, 1x cup runner who keeps the Baristas milks, cups, etc up to the Barista and also coordinates the orders and fills them, calling out completed pick ups, getting a runner to take orders out to the 7 tables. The Barista should only be pumping out the drinks (sometimes both hot and cold depending on layout, skill and turnover). Every time the Barista is reorganising dockets, calling out pick ups, stopping to check on food/snacks, chatting it slows down the service and after a while slows down turnover as some will go elsewhere because they simply do not have the time. I saw 2x cancellations when there, one was a group of 3 who had finished their food and did not want to wait longer for the drinks. I was almost going to cancel my 1x coffee too after 20+minutes. The product is very good and some in the industry believe (true to an extent) that a crowd attracts more sheeples but if you can slip into higher gear when busy, you will get...

Popped in to try the coffee and will return for lunch! Two well made Allpress coffees and a delicious slice of hummingbird cake. Beautiful cafe spot with river views, friendly staff, amazing cakes and excellent coffee. Can't ask for more than that.

Edit: returned for light lunch - flavour packed Mushroom toastie and coffee. Simple but tasty food offerings done well. Consistently good coffees: sporting a green La Marzocco Linea PB, Anfim coffee grinder, fresh roasted Allpress beans and staff who care about what they are delivering there is a recipe for coffee...

On a sunny day, this is a chilled out spot. Even sitting on the pavement out front, it’s a quiet street with a peaceful view. I love the reclaimed wood that is used in the property, very cool touch to make the cafe stand out from the rest of the strip. Baked goods from the small kitchen are standard but are a very high quality. I don’t remember the last time I saw a quiche Lorraine but it was excellent! Jaffles, banana bread, wraps, hummingbird cake, avo on toast..... Allpress coffee, simple long black, was really good and not too bitter.
