There are reasons why people go to places. Usually it’s for the STUFF, but not for us. We used to come here for the atmosphere (low-key) and the People/Staff. Freo is quirky and so was our young lady, now Missing. Banter, jokes and reality checks, that the world was still spinning. Looked forward to this.. Well not yesterday, we’ve lost our hospitality queen. Just because the world’s gone mad and two individuals subjectively post(their history shows that they’re possibly hard to please anyway) their unhelpful comments. Didn’t figure it out but noticed a lot of the regulars were missing, hmm… The best bread and cakes are to be got at The Wild Bakery and Bhodis for Excellent ingredients… So we’ve been supporting this lovely corner store, not for its product but personable real and wonderful principled characters. Life revolves around people & the atmosphere they create for us, not money. What I spend here won’t make a difference to Lawleys’ revenue now that I’ve tapped out, but people can’t be discarded on emotional whims from passers by. Like I said the world’s gone mad with emo-reactiveness. Emotional stability doesn’t come from externally bagging people everywhere you go.. if I feel that way, I just vote with my feet n $$& and not return. To the No-Idea-Complainers out there, Your negative and subjective (biased) comments/ingrained views have Far-reaching Consequences to other peoples’ lives! Now Grow Up and pull up your big girl pants. Because here in freo we Embrace and Help people on bad days by showing them Grace… That’s why visitors come to Fremantle, for the Quirky, the Strange, Funny and Utterly Rridiculous shenanigans on our streets and businesses. So visitors, when you pack your bags to visit us, PLEASE make sure you Leave your filter behind/@home because when you’re in freo, showing Mercy, giving Grace and sharing a Smile Sure changes everyones’ day...
Read moreCame here on Monday to use toilet as I was told by one of my work mates that we could. So as a gesture I spent $40 on food which I thought was steep. Then came back later in the day to buy 3 drinks for $15, which I still thought was steep but try to support local instead of the fuelos etc where I could have gotten them a lot cheaper. Came back in on Tuesday to buy a sausage roll and another drink.
Today I came in and asked to use toilet and was just about to buy some more drinks when the owner approached me saying we can't use her toilet as we make a mess and they have to clean it, it's for customers. Flabbergasted I couldn't even respond except for saying that we were told it was ok. She stated we've been using it all week and I said we hadn't. I've used it twice, another work mate used it once and was actually going to come and buy her lunch today and the other 2 hadn't used it at all.
Firstly, I don't appreciate liars. Secondly, we were paying customers and spent good money. Thirdly, due to works we were doing on the corner, people veered towards the business which made more customers. Finally, word of mouth accounts for more than just a name. I will not be coming back and wasting my hard earned money on a joint that sees us in a uniform that doesn't conform to your snobbery. I am a clean person and don't like that I was treated the way I was because I wear tradies clothes.
