In the beginning being seated was as expected.
But then it started to go down hill when it took approximately 20mins for the wait staff to offer any water for the table. It then took approximately another 15 mins for the wait staff to offer drinks.
We ordered our drinks which was a Jameson on the rocks (which came out incorrect "had a pinkish color and smelled like strawberries) the waiter became quite aggrivated and stormed to our table with the bottle and said this is what the drink was poured from well infact it wasnt because the drink in the glass at the time wasn't Jameson.
Our other drinks were a Pint of Great Northern that looked like it had been poured from a bucket with more foam than a morning cappuccino, a normal glass of pepsi, and a glass of Moscato.
That was our drinks experience.
Next came the food "oh the food" we ordered 2 serves of barramundi, we were very disappointed as the portions of fish were watery and tasted like they were cooked after being defrosted.
The seafood platter I wouldn't even give 1 star for, it arrived at our table looking like a dogs breakfast, the seafood was cooked from frozen not fresh the squid rings/calamari and octopus were over cooked and chewy, the fish was of same description as the barramundi dishes, needless to say that the salad was more appealing.
The final dish we ordered was a scotch fillet steak that was meant to be cooked medium rare with mushroom sauce. Well the steak came out less than rare and probably could have still been running around the paddock. The chips tasted like they were cooked in old oil (funnily enough they tasted like donuts which was extremely weird..) the mushroom sauce was more cream than anything without not much mushroom and not much flavour as it looked like they poured it over the top to hide the fact there chef didn't know how to cook the steak.
Overral extremely disappointed with our experience as this business was chosen off of past experience. We have unfortunately had to strike this off our list as a recommendation to our friends and family and certainly would not recommend to anyone else.
To top it off the wait staff ignored and dismissed our table and there attitude could have much...
Read moreCertainly! Here’s a review based on your experience:
I’m not one to typically hold onto things and write reviews, but I feel this one is necessary given my recent experience at this establishment.
I sat down for dinner and was greeted by a young female waiter who was very friendly. However, when taking our order, she didn’t write anything down, opting instead to remember everything verbally.
We ordered a pasta, risotto, a “focaccia” (which turned out to be sourdough bread with olive oil), a Pepsi, and a Sprite. I kindly asked for the pasta to come out as plain Napoli, omitting the zucchini and eggplant from their vegetarian option.
Despite her polite demeanor, she returned twice more to verbally confirm our order, still without a notepad. The request wasn’t overly complicated—just the Napoli without the vegetables.
The drinks arrived, and the Sprite tasted like dirty water. I informed the waiter politely, and she replaced it, admitting that she tasted it and agreed it was off.
When the food started coming out, things took a turn for the worse. A calzone and a mushroom risotto were brought to the table instead. I reminded them that I had ordered casarecce Napoli with plain Napoli sauce. Apologies were made, and I was told the dish was still being prepared—another 3-4 minutes away.
Fast forward another 10 minutes, and the Napoli finally arrived—but with zucchini, eggplant, and mushrooms. At this point, I was too frustrated to eat and just wanted to leave.
Mistakes happen, and I understand that, but after all the errors, the staff decided only to remove the pasta from the bill. The drinks, including the dirty Sprite, remained on the tab. I noticed the manager speaking with the staff member about the repeated mistakes, yet no further gestures of goodwill were made.
After an hour of waiting, I left hungry and ended up grabbing food at McDonald’s. I left behind a table full of untouched food.
In my opinion, removing just the pasta wasn’t enough given the situation. A good faith gesture, like removing the drinks, would have gone a long way in salvaging the experience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place based...
Read moreI phoned to book a reservation for a table of 2. The young gentleman who answered seemed almost new to the job with how he took my phone booking was unprofessional. This had sparked a red flag due to his casual way of being very vague on what information was required to confirm the reservation. Upon arrival (7pm) An older gentleman was at the front counter and he seemed busy with some book work and didn’t exactly welcome myself or my partner in any way. It was almost as if our arrival wasn’t of any urgency or that we meant nothing to his business. I presume he was the owner. So once my partner and I were waiting for attention, not even a hello or any apology. I told him we had reserved a table. He led us to a table that had been waiting for a turnover. So we had to stand there and watch him prepare our table. This was almost embarrassing as we had an awkward vibe beginning to unfold around us with other families and couples watching. Once seated, Water was not offered as a standard default to a table service. We had to wait almost 10 minutes after our first drink order before was delivered. We almost walked out until we received our drinks. It was my partner’s birthday dinner and I felt ashamed on what I thought was going to be professional and at least provide attentive staff who yet couldn’t see we were already ready for another drink as our dinner order was taken. It was not busy at all, it was like the table service staff had a busy night and the night only begun. How are these people still in business is beyond me. I feel as though maybe they have a reputation that wasn’t worth upholding any more. What a Shame!!!and we will not advise anyone to go to such a casual, careless environment. Not even worth our time and we have made a lot better a home. 2 stars is over rated...
