Went to the Eureka for dinner with friends. Table ordered a mix of entrees and mains. Food was good but drinks were hit and miss and the service was incredibly inconsistent.

Entrees and mains all come out together, there wasn’t enough room on the table for all the mains, entrees, water jugs and glasses plus beers and cocktails so it was incredibly uncomfortable to eat with no space on the table. People that ordered Schnitzels didn’t get gravy. The first person to get their schnitzel was given a free gravy when flagged with the wait staff. The second person that did not receive gravy was told by the manager they won’t be given gravy and need to pay extra for it. The second round of identical cocktails ordered were incredibly different from the first round, for better or for worse. Band started playing at 6:30pm (maybe warm up songs, they only did an couple) and it was pretty loud considering the time of the evening. Made it incredibly difficult to converse with friends and family and enjoy our food during that time, something I didn’t expect at prime dinner hour. All in all the food was good, but the service was a big let down and has left me feeling uninterested to return...

Pleasant Dining Experience

I recently visited the Eureka Hotel restaurant in Geelong and overall had a positive experience. The atmosphere is vibrant, with a nice, bustling restaurant and bar offering plenty of seating options.

While the service was a bit slow and occasionally took some time to place orders, the food certainly made up for it. I opted for the 300g porterhouse steak with chips and salad. The steak was a highlight—flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection with a satisfying thickness. The fries were reminiscent of a tastier version of McDonald's, and the salad was fresh with a delicious dressing.

One thing to note is that the restaurant was a bit loud during my visit due to trivia activities. While this might be appealing to some, it's worth considering if you prefer a quieter dining environment.

In summary, despite a few delays in service and the lively atmosphere, Eureka Hotel restaurant is a great place to check out. The quality of the food, especially the well-cooked steak, makes it a worthwhile dining...

My partner and I went to West End after I had been raving about it to him months before and during lockdown, insisting I was craving to go back there after a lovely pre-wedding dinner I shared with a few close friends months ago. I was eager to share my experiences with my partner and the venue did not disappoint! The lovely staff were more than happy to fit us in on short notice even though Covid booking times are difficult, etc. Angie In particular was an amazing sever and enhanced the dining experience tenfold - her warmth, friendliness and also expertise definitely enhanced my fondness for the restaurant and I am also happy to say that my partner was very impressed! Also a big Thankyou to James for the wonderful service. It goes without saying that the food was amazing and cannot wait to share the experience with other friends down the track! I hope you all stay safe and prosperous through this covid crisis and Thankyou again for making us feel normal and at home in a restaurant! Looking forward to...

The Eureka Hotel is absolutely hitting the mark for a modern pub experience in Geelong. It manages to feel classic and fresh at the same time, with a super clean and welcoming bar area. What stood out most was the food. We ordered the mexican parma and it was fantastic! There were a few parmas to choose from. It was beautifully presented, generously topped with fresh ingredients like avocado and sour cream, and came with perfectly crispy fries and a fresh side salad. This is pub food done right, with quality and presentation that elevates it. This pub is vibrant and well-equipped. It's clear they focus on great beer, with plenty of taps available, including local favourites like Furphy. The exposed brick and clean setup give it a great atmosphere for a casual drink or a big night out. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you’re looking for a reliably good meal, cold beer, and a lively atmosphere in central Geelong, the Eureka is highly recommended.

Stopped into this beauty of a restaurant over the weekend with my family. We had croquettes and gnocchi for entrees, eye fillet steak and duck for main, cheesecake and fudge brownie. I can say with great confidence that our 10 month old, 2.5 year old and hubby absolutely loved the food! The service was great and it had a nice, calm atmosphere which was great for a family lunch on a Sunday. In terms of ease of access, there was more than enough space for me to push my pram and park it next to the table comfortably. We were offered a booster seat too (but did not need it for our eldest) My only complaint is that there is no baby change table at this venue/the accessible toilet is inside the female change room. Parking is available just a short walk off Little Malop.
