Lovely place, Astrid was amazing and looked after us really well. We didn’t realise until the end that every bottle of wine you buy to drink there with your meals came with $15 corkage, we spent $450 there and had to pay $60 just to drink wine we purchased there, which was a bit steep. We must have read the menu incorrectly thinking that was corkage for byo which would have been understandable. Anyway, good was super tasty and the wine was lovely but based on $15 per bottle to serve us the wine we probably wouldn’t return just based on that alone.

Read moreI travelled to Geelong on the spur of the moment from Melbs to visit an exhibition at the art gallery (which was fabulous). I took the opportunity to visit the Geelong Cellar Door after having read about it in a local tourism article. Arriving shortly after opening time, I nabbed the chesterfield couch by the open fire and was then served a glass of a local pinot murnier along with a pork terrine platter by a very genial host. Yum and Yum. The décor is both rustic and sophisticated. A wonderful space to while away a couple of hours, drink good wine and eat quality nibbles. Will definitely be back on any return...
Read moreGorgeous place to chill for an afternoon wine and platter. Have been here numerous times and stopped in most recently for a few glasses of wine and a platter after work with my partner.
They were busy (at capacity) so food coming out was a bit slow, but the wine always came out very quickly.
Staff overall are great; friendly and well informed, I did have a snarky comment last night though from one male waiter, who after asking if we’d chosen a wine to order replied “Thank God!”. We’d only just been seated to a table, but perhaps the stresses of a busy night were beginning to show there.
