Unfortunately we didn't like our experience here, the special fried rice wasn't what we expected, our rice turned up, no prawns, when we explained this the sever was lovely and got it made again, it turned up and we had literally 3 or 4 canned small prawns, no chicken in either, lots of rice though. The chicken and cashew was that oily it was unexpected we have never had that experience and was super salty. The combination chow mein was nice in flavour but the beef and squid was super chewy. We were asked if we needed a take away container for our left overs and we said no(we left over half of each dish) the waitress was quite surprised at our decision. We went to the counter to pay and asked how was your meal,(me being me yep it was ok) but my wife stood up and said about the rice and the other dishes. The response was ok we will take that onboard, you would hope they would as you are on the coast of Australia and have fresh seafood at your door. For the prices you charge I find it hard for you not to use Australian fresh seafood. As one of the best rated Chinese restaurants in town, I find it hard to understand how you are, seriously. We are from the East coast and the Chinese is 110% better than this. Best up your...
Read moreWhere to begin. Disappointment from whoa to go. Left standing at the, stand here to be seated sign, while other customers gave long takeaway orders and two staff stood staring at us. Given a bowl of stale prawn crackers and a glass of water. It’s BYO. We were not aware. Ordered prawn toast to share. The saddest oiliest pieces of toast I have never seen before. Then the main, a prawn chowmein and fried rice. So bland so dry so sad. All the time the phone rings, the front door tinkles and the doorbell from the kitchen ring. Tinkle tinkle, ding dong and ring ring. Why. Why does the kitchen bell need to ring twice every single time. Staff complaining about other staff in full hearing of the customers. Apparently the kitchen made a mistake and the two young ladies serving were complaining loudly. With a few choice swear words thrown in. One young lady tried to clear the table while my husband fork in hand was still eating. We couldn’t wait to get out. I hated the whole experience. I pity Geraldton with this poor restaurant. Steer...
Read moreWas our last night on our holiday so decided to opt for something different and chose Chinese. We found the staff to be very pleasant, and the food was pretty good, and arrived quickly to our table.
I must say I was extremely disappointed with desert. My partner ordered deep fried ice cream and I ordered a banana split. The deep fried icecream was ok, however we are both still, trying to work out what happened to my banana split. What turned up at the table was less than impressive and we were simply too gobsmacked to say anything at the time. It was simply a banana cut in half with a scoop of icecream. I’d love to post a pic but don’t...
