Popped in for a couple of coffees and a croissant for our little guy (one of his favourite things!). Young woman behind the counter couldn’t have been more indifferent if she tried. Her worse for wear mate slouching on the couch. We put in our order for 2x coffees (latte and flat white) and croissant…”That’ll be $22.30”. My jaw almost hit the floor as the board said medium coffees $6 (not exactly cheap but whatever). So that would be $10.30 for the croissant then? I was too tired to query and reluctantly paid. 1 iced coffee, a flat white and croissant then arrived. Erm, iced coffee? Sent that back for a latte like we ordered. With anticipation I opened the bag with the croissant to find a rock hard and cold (?) stale $10.30 croissant. I wouldn’t let my 3 year old eat it much to his distress. Our latte arrived and we decided ask if the price was correct for what we ordered. Without any thought the young woman dismissively said “yep yep”. Maybe they were just having a bad morning but my simple long black was AWFUL! The lid wasn't on properly and i burnt my thumb. It was way too hot for any coffee even a black one. Which means it was burnt. It was a small when I asked and likely paid for a medium. Not sure if they forgot the sugar or is just so bitter due to being burnt. I rarely write reviews but have taken the time for this one. The setting was lovely. Nothing special about the service. No one was rude. Mainly bakery food... but a couple of really gourmet options to choose from. I hope the new coffee guy was just a trainee and it'll improve. It was busy so others were enjoying their coffee from what I could tell. I like to support local business... but I have to go get another coffee...

Great coffee. By far one of the best on the Gold Coast. I even bought some of their beans to make coffee at home myself. Also very friendly staff. great atmosphere to have a coffee at a nice and cozy place. My friend and I come here pretty much every day after our morning run to o have a coffee and we always grab a beetroot juice which is nice too Their chocolate pies are also amazing - I had one with ferrero that was just superb - wish I could have it everyday lol but my training coach says...
