🍜MUSO RAMEN🍜 @muso_ramen Location: 2b/2484 Gold Coast Hwy, Mermaid Beach QLD 4218
Rating: 3.5/5✨
a couple weeks back, we ventured down to the Gold Coast for some food adventuring and passed by @muso_ramen and decided why not?~ since the nights have been so chilly, ramen is calling from left right centre!🤍✨🍜
we got✨🍽:
🖤🍜🤍black soy tonkotsu ($20) and original soy tonkotsu ($18.5): starting off, the broth here is extremelyyyy thick, so if you don’t like your ramen soup thick but instead more light and liquidy, then don’t try this, i’ve never had a thicker ramen broth oh my, a lot a lot of flavour packed into this🤭🥰
i personally am used to, and like, lighter and not too intense broths, so this was very overwhelming for me as a person that also gets less salty broth, thicker and more flavourful broths will inevitably come out more on the salty side, so this didn’t really go well for me unfortunately🥹but just as a personal taste factor~ i do appreciate and can taste the effort and time it must have taken them to make this broth though!🤍
the difference between the original and black is they put roasted garlic oil on top and give you more cha-siu pieces, which is my next comment~ wow the cha-siu is really really packed with smokey flavours, incredibly smokey and not the standard steamed cha-siu that you get at other places! quite a interesting and refreshing change!🥰
🥟pork gyoza ($13): at first i thought this was quite pricey for gyoza as i’m used to smaller sized ones at other places, but my goodness these were quite hefty!🥰✨packed with flavorful juicy pork, definitely the highlight of the meal for me!🤍
conclusion, i do recommend @muso_ramen but i personally probably won’t be going back again solely because it’s not my type of ramen broth that i like and i don’t think i can get used to such a thick and intense broth that can’t be customized🥰✨🍜but if you’re all about the jam packed flavourful and intense thick broths, seriously try them out, you’ll...
Read moreOne year after the last time 3⭐️ I tried 2 types of Chicken ramen, gyoza and a small rice bowl today. I had Chicken ramen a few years ago. I really liked it at the time….. Unfortunately this time wasn't make me wow😓 Both soups and gyoza were nice but I expected something more 😅 Terimayo cha shu rice bowl was the best🥳👍🏻5⭐️ But $10 for a small size is pricy🤣 I will try more other ramen one day😋
Another 8 months later…3⭐️ This is the last place to finding my favorite ramen in GC🍜 I had Tonkotsu soy $20 and Yurinchi $15. I liked pork slices and noodle🥰 Maybe I like their chicken based soup 🍜 😚 Karaage was not bad, the sauce got thinner?? Because of the bean sprouts ???🤔 I like a bit more strong flavor on the chicken 🍗 I’d love to try monthly special next time!😋 Friendly service which was good 😊 👍🏻
11month later…4⭐️ I had July special noodle with fresh truffle $39 and Ebimayo prawn $15. I smelled truffle a lot 🥰 The soup was gentle flavor 🍜 It’s definitely special 😉👍🏻 But one thing, duck was chewy 😓 The prawns were big size 😳 Happy tummy 😋😋😋
I love this place normally but this time I’m shocked and disappointed 😔 I was ok before I saw the someone’s photo of Monthly special. Because I didn’t know what look like it. Now I know my one was not paitan soup😤 less oxtail and less soup (?)😞 So I didn’t get the proper service on that day 😣 I guess the person went to there next day after I went. I’m very sad how they treat customers...
Read moreWe did like the food and it was really tasty. I give thumb up for that. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with service. After explaining to the waitress, easy about 5 times, a certain, very simple, dietary requirement, asking for a certain food not to be part of our meal, that particular food made it to our table. Waitress only response was simple sorry. Well, let's say we noticed it in time and lucky there was no hospital trips. Again, the only thing we got was "sorry". We ended up paying the full amount for the meals. I used to own and run a hospitality business in the past, and if my self or one of my staff made a mistake, simple sorry wouldn't cut it. Your customers are your business, and if you don't go at least tiny bit out of your way when it's your mistake, then you haven't done it right by your customer, anyway, I hope the waitress learns what ingredients are part of each meal they put on the table. A waitress is the face of the business and connection between customer and the kitchen/person in charge....
