"Ahoy, spice adventurers! Prepare to embark on a culinary voyage at Temple of Spices in Mermaid Beach, where flavors come alive like a carnival in your mouth. This hidden gem tantalizes taste buds with dishes that make you go 'oh-my-goat!'

Now, let's talk about the star of the show: Grandma's Goat curry. This dish is a true legend. As soon as it arrived at our table, the aroma hit us like a warm, comforting hug from grandma herself. The tender goat meat was bathed in a fragrant medley of spices, rendering us weak in the knees. One bite, and we were transported to a world of tantalizing flavors that made our taste buds dance like nobody's watching.

The service at Temple of Spices is as swift as a cheetah chasing its prey. The staff greets you with smiles that could brighten the darkest days, and they're always ready to guide you through the spice-laden seas of their menu. They even recommended a side of crispy naan to mop up every last drop of that delectable curry. Oh, the joy!

As for the ambiance, there's a delightful surprise on the wall—a playful painting of a penguin that adds a touch of whimsy to the dining experience. It's like having a culinary adventure while having a feathered friend keeping an eye on your gastronomic exploration.

In conclusion, Temple of Spices is a treasure trove of flavors that will leave you craving for more. The journey to Mermaid Beach is well worth it, just to experience the culinary prowess and the legendary Grandma's Goat curry. So, gather your taste buds and set sail to this temple of deliciousness....

I'd like to know what all other Indian restaurants have been serving me my whole life after eating their's last night! I went on a quest to find half decent Indian, to go with my very expensive bottle of red & let me just say, the Indian almost won out over the red (And, the red was freaking good too ;)

So glad I did my research & read these reviews before I ate another watered down, spiceless Indian meal that was bland, had no heat & clearly not made fresh.

I tasted depth of flavour & spices I've never ever tasted in my standard order of Rogan Josh "anywhere ever" last night. And, I'm pretty stoked with myself that I took a gamble & brought two serves of them & a Vindaloo. I'll now be happily enjoying my feast for days to come.

My only disappointment is why you don't deliver to my area of Benowa! 😭😭😭😭😭 But I'd be a liar if I said the 40min round commute wasn't absolutely worth it! My only problem now is how in the world am I going to be able to try everything on their menu. I'm no vegan but Imma gonna' wanna eat that menu too.

All I have to say is well done guys! I've just about lived & travelled all over Australia & no places I've ever been to are doing Indian like you are. I never want to order Indian anywhere else ever again. For as long as I live on the GC if they keep serving me the quality I got last night, I've just became a lifer!!!!

To add yet more insult to any other competing restaurant the decor, service & staff were great too. A quaint hidden gem with amble ambience. All in all, a complete home run. A definite must...

Ordered our meals online via their website and also checked their Facebook link to online ordering. Once food was ordered we received a phone call advising that they have increased their prices and we will have to pay an additional 15%. I responded that they should honour the prices stated on their online ordering platforms. They refused to honour the prices even out of good will. I advised them that this is against the ACCC guidelines for business to mislead customers. They still refused to honour the online prices so we cancelled our order. They advised that their prices had not been updated as yet......but still wanted to charge the additional. It was also weird that they responded with "I am happy to show my communication with tech guy He is keep delaying since last week". Well the protocol is to honour the advertised prices and not rip people off. Seriously its that easy rather than unhappy customers and food that is prepared and not collected. We were actually quite astounded as to them being OK in losing customers. Maybe they are a million dollar business and actually do not need the business in which they also stated via a text message to me - “We are not doing million dollar business This is a food for my kids”. Well we also do not run or make a million dollar business either, however we do not rip off our customers with misleading prices. Very disappointed as we were ordering from you during COVID. Not a great way to treat local patrons in your local...

This has, for the past 5 year, been my favourite Indian restaurant hands down. I’ve been ordering it religiously 1-2 times a week over those years. However over the past 6 months quality has bombed! Bombed!! The butter chicken has lost depth of flavour and sweetness, it’s more of a bland homogenous slop now; the cheese and garlic naan (80% of the reason I order Indian) has stopped having an identifiable amount of cheese. The naans used to have sall cheesy strings when pulled apart, but now they’re undercooked and slightly doughy with no cheese. This is despite on numerous order instructions asking for more cheese, being charged extra on top of the ordinary cheese garlic naan price and then still receiving a cheese less doughy naan. Rank! The onion bajjees are the only redeemable factor as far as I can see at this restaurant. I live <1km from this restaurant and at this point I’ve been ordering from any other Indian restaurant at this point, and will say any Indian chain restaurants have a better feed at better value than here. I’d look elsewhere unless this offers unrivalled convenience Update 2 months later: Still the same quality all round, except this time the naan was at least cooked. Payed $7 for the naan and was charged an additional $3 for extra cheese ontop of the regular amount. The naan in question is pictured, as you can see no cheese in sight which is shameless for charging $10

I've been eating here for a number of years now knowing it's the best Indian on the Coast, but I decided it was a must to post a review after my experience tonight. I've recently found out I'm dairy intolerant. I didnt feel like cooking so we decided to go out for tea, but after a lot of driving and feeling really unenthusiastic about no prospects, my partner remembered the Indian we always get is vegan! They were able to add chicken to the vegan sauce - and its the best meal I've eaten since becoming dairy free. Tasted JUST like butter chicken - was perfectly creamy, and was a generous serving. Staff were kind and attentive and the food came out so quickly. The restaurant smelt divine and there was light Indian music in the background setting the atmosphere. Also, for those who are plus size, the restaurant has sturdy chairs. 11/10 and always consistent, I highly recommend.
