On a wet rainy day, we were looking for a yummy hot roast. I did some googling and found this little hidden gem. The place was quite full on Sunday afternoon. We asked about what was the roast of the day and it was roast pork & veg but told there were 16 left and usually sell out. The lovely young staff member said he would come and tell us when they were almost sold so we wouldn't miss out as we were going to just sit for a little bit and enjoy a drink. To his word, he came back and said better order now, and we are definitely glad we did. Absolutely delicious roast, The pork was very tender and juicy, not dry, and the vegetables were cooked to perfection, not overcooked and soft. There was also a bread dumpling with it that was delicious. My only thing would be that I would have loved a little more crackling and apple sauce. But absolutely delicious Well done

Stayed here for a couple of nights - it is reasonably priced considering the fantastic location. Rooms are old but clean - the air conditioner was super noisy though so luckily they had a small fan heater in the cupboard or it would have been quite chilly in the room. It is a minute from the pub part - so very handy for a drink. Did not eat there as we are vegetarians but the portion sizes looked pretty good and there was quite a few eating there. There is a pool but it is right next to the outdoor seating of the pub with a railing fence - so wouldn't swim there even if it was warm. Fantastic location though - close to the tram and the Northcliffe Surf Club - which was awesome by the way. Would definitely stay again due to its location.

Wasn’t sure what to expect, just hoping for a nice cold Guinness after a long beach walk. I got that and a whole lot more . I was very impressed. Nicely decorated pub, a bit of faux Irish, but it does its job. Beer was good. Fare was also impressive. Good variety of options. We had the Irish Beef Stew and the Bangers and Mash. Both got the 👍👍👍 And top it up, the desserts were excellent. Tonight they had Sticky Date Pudding , and Apple Pie (bits), both served with ice cream and fresh cream. Very nice 😊 And the staff were all very friendly

My experience here, ll start with the negatives:

#1 I go check myself and grandson in at reception with some blonde lady who puts us up in room 2 with three single beds.. 🙄 when i booked online i specifically wanted a double bed, however i wasn’t gona make a fuss so i pushed two beds together.. which could have been avoided if she gave us a room with a double bed.. once i bought in our belongings him and i were set and relaxed.. then i went searching for the password to wifi we head back to reception, as im opening the door the same lady heard the door opening and totally ignored us as she was making her way to the bistro area to refill her pint behind the bar.. wtf really!! The lovely young girl also at the bar helped me and handed me abit of paper with the password.. we head back to the room.. its not working, won’t allow us to join so back we go to see the young girl.. NOW she tells me the reception in the rooms are weak (im getting pissed now) had i known this i would NEVER have booked here the wifi kept glitching on and off the whole time.. so beware if you have lil ones.. #2 Watching the footy i could hear drilling and sanding i ignored it then it started again i turned the tv down cause i thought i was hearing things by this time its 8.30pm i got up and opened the door the noise seemed to be coming from the underground carpark i was shit scared to go take a look, in my younger days i wouldn’t have hesitated.. fck this went on and on til 11pm.. i mean it could have been night works but it definitely sounded like it was coming from the carpark! Now for the positives: To the two lovely young Irish girls who were working at the bar and bistro thankyou.. our food was devine the risotto amazing and the pint of guiness topped it off.. Overall nice lil pub, i will be back for another guiness but definitely...

On arrival it I had to look for someone to book in as nobody at the desk. ||||Well the website promised recently upgraded accommodation. First impressions were that it must have been updated using Grandma's hand me downs. Very old and dated fittings, and a shower that only worked sometimes. The hot water sometimes didn't work at all, or it came out in spurts.||||We booked a room for a couple and requested bedding as such, but got into the room and had 3 single beds. Luckily the beds were on wheels and we could push 2 together.||||We decided to check out the bar in the main building which was nicely decorated as you would expect, but I jut don't get marketing yourself as an Irish pub but playing pop music through the speakers. It was definitely lacking atmosphere and the staff also seemed disinterested in being there.......and $19 for a beer and glass of wine was just ridiculous.||||They also advertise Wi-Fi but when I tried to access it you needed a login. By this point I couldn't be bothered going to chase this up, but it should have been in the rooms. The rooms did not have any form of paperwork or information at all.||||The room was somewhat sound proof but you could still here loud people in the bar area. No traffic was heard though and the beds were...
