⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, genuinely hospitable welcome that set the tone for the night. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance of modern, funky, and cozy—exactly the kind of vibe you want for a memorable dinner out.

The cocktails were absolute show-stoppers: unique, creative, and seriously delicious. The little appetizer soup in a shot glass had us wishing for a full bowl—it was that good. Oysters came next, dressed in a sauce so original and flavorful we’re still talking about it.

Our entrees were next-level. The zucchini flower with scallops was a revelation (and I’m not even a seafood person!), while the beef with pistachios and pumpkin seeds was beautifully inventive and unlike anything I’ve tried before.

The mains kept the magic going. The largest cannelloni I’ve ever seen arrived blanketed in a creamy sauce that melted in the mouth, and the beef with asparagus and mushroom barbecue sauce was perfectly tender and silky—just melt-in-your-mouth perfection.

Dessert sealed the deal. My banana soufflé with caramelized honey was a dream, and the strawberry-and-berry creation on the other side of the table looked like edible art and tasted even better.

Service was the secret ingredient of the night. The whole team radiated kindness and professionalism. Huge shoutouts to Karl who was the best host and made sure when feel like the center of the attention, we are impressed with for the masterful cocktails by Matt at the bar, and to our wonderful waitress Louisa for her warmth and patience. You can tell everyone here loves what they do—it’s passion, not just a job.

We originally stumbled across this place on Google, but within minutes it exceeded every expectation. This is easily one of the best dinners we’ve had in a long time. We can’t wait to come back to try more of the menu and see all those smiley faces again. This restaurant currently reviewed by 1.2K people at 4.8 stars, but we feel they deserve 5 thumbs up! Highly, highly...

My husband and I went there to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. We were very excited about the evening ahead. It has great reviews from clients and food critics. We decided to order the degustation menu with matching wines.

Unfortunately we were disappointed with some of it.

We had a martini espresso cocktail to start with. We were both disappointed. It was not as cold as it should have been, and it tasted like plain strong black coffee. In our opinion it was as if all other ingredients were missing.

The soup lacked flavour and seasoning. If we had not read the menu, we would not have known that it had cauliflower and parsnip in it. The truffle flavour was barely noticeable. Presentation was poor - served in a glass. We were given spoons to eat it, so it was clearly not designed to be drunk from the glass. The glass needed to be tilted to spoon the soup out, but the glass was hot to touch.

The scallop dish was extremely disappointing. The scallop was poorly cooked and cold. The bacon was leathery, and the black pudding was seriously dry.

The desserts were very good, but the panna cotta was set a little too firmly.

On a very positive note, the following dishes were absolutely superb!!

The kingfish. The zucchini flowers. The beef eye fillet. The berry soufflé.

All the matching wines were very good.

Service was excellent. We did let our server know that the scallop dish was not good. She was exceedingly apologetic, and liaised with the chef accordingly. We were given an extra dessert to share in way of an apology, and that dessert was excellent.

In hindsight we should have mentioned to our server all that we weren't happy with, but we didn't not want to make the occasion an...

We visited the restaurant for a birthday dinner yesterday. We chose the Degustationen menu for 110 p/p. The meals were not bad but nothing special for that price point. We have had many Degustation experiences and this one did not stand out. Some dishes would have also benefitted from a pinch of salt to alleviate the flavour.

Moreover, although I had mentioned in the reservation that it was going to be a birthday dinner, it wasn’t taken into consideration by the restaurant staff. I initially thought this restaurant may probably prefer not to do anything about special occasions until we witnessed that one of the tables got a special birthday treatment. However, while my note about the birthday dinner may have been neglected by mistake and we do give the staff the benefit of doubt there, a more concerning observation was that the only guests who were escorted to the door when leaving was the table with the birthday treatment. While that table consisted of all Caucasian guests, all the other tables in the restaurant who left before us incl. ourselves were mixed-race or purely Asian couples. None of those got this special attention after finishing and leaving incl. ourselves. We couldn’t understand whether this was on the basis of the race, or that the table with special treatment were more people (hence spent more). In any case, I think it would be appropriate to give all guests the same attention, either escort all guests with a smile and goodbye etc. or none of them. In the end, I’m sure with the standard that the restaurants aims to offer, I’m fairly certain, they wouldn’t like the guests to leave with a second guess for your gestures and service and without...

From the moment we stepped into the divine, moody ambiance of Little Truffle, we knew we were in for something special. Greeted warmly by Karl, who prioritised us over walk-ins with a genuine smile and impeccable professionalism, the experience began with an undeniable touch of class. Coming from a background in silver service hospitality myself, I couldn’t find a single thing to fault. The service was flawless—from napkins being delicately laid out, to our water glasses refilled within three minutes of sitting down. Karl made us feel like we were his only table, his attention to detail and genuine care elevating our night to perfection. Then came the food—a perfect symphony of flavours that left us in awe. Every mouthful was a sensational surprise; the combinations were so masterfully crafted that we didn’t even try to decipher them—we just enjoyed the magic unfolding on our palates. It was a culinary journey, each dish more stunning than the last, no words were spoken when we tried that Panna Cotta, our faces said it all! Little Truffle proving that fine dining is truly an art form here. We were so blown away by the service and food that leaving a $50 tip felt like the least we could do. The value for money was exceptional, we walked out being full in our tummies. Little Truffle is now my top recommendation for anyone visiting the Gold Coast. This is next-level dining at its finest. I wish more places followed Little Truffle’s example. Five stars truly aren’t enough for this gem. Bravo! 👏✹ Carissa Bates (Maryborough, QLD)

Underwhelmed Little Truffle came highly recommended to us and we really looked forward to dining here. - Kalleske Shiraz was 2023 not 2021 like the menu stated, when i asked the waiter, he simply referred us to the disclaimer on the wine list - we felt like we were rushed, we just finished one course and the next was already dropped in front of us - steak tartare grey & tasteless - waiter put cracked pepper on my steak without asking - had to ask waiter 3x to top our water glasses - we were seated at a table facing the wall despite other tables being available during our booking. Peach & rosemary martini Cocktail was very good, Amuse bouche was also very good, mignonette oysters were excellent, zucchini flowers were so delicate & delicious, steak cooked perfectly, complimentary Strawberries Romanoff dessert for our anniversary was very good and a lovely touch to end the night on

Went here to celebrate a birthday dinner, the service and atmosphere were super lovely even though they forgot the birthday candle for the dessert and it was marked in the reservation. We had the 4 course menu + Chips + Raspberry Souffle: Amuse Bouche - tasty and a great warming start to the menu; Zucchini Flowers - my favourite of the night with a great combo of tastes and textures; Quail: found it kind of dry sadly; Tortellini: Didn’t taste like pasta? Tasted like it was wonton wrappers in texture and although the sauce was delicious, it was weird that the same sauce was used in the other dishes like the zucchini flowers as well. Added chips as a side and they were a generous serving, hot and crispy. Raspberry SoufflĂ© for dessert: A bit too runny for my liking, however flavors were there and was a lovely end.
