More Thai At Nobby — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Wow, just wow. What a find. First time ordering via uber eats. What can I say, I’m thrilled with my first dish ordered with them of green curry prawns. I think it is the best green curry I’ve had at the Gold Coast in the last 7 years of living here or in-fact Australia.. The complexity and depth of the ingredients used in the curry paste really shone through. Thoroughly impressed! Well done team on that. Very spicy though, which I love, but if you don’t like spice ask for very mild. Huge serving size also, would easily feed three as a main. 8 very large king prawns all up and loads of vegetables and sauce. The absolute only let down of this dish was the carrots being so rock hard thought I was going to break a tooth so I got rid of the bits of carrot. Plenty of goodness going on in that dish to really not care. Best dish I’ve ever eaten at the GC. That’s high praise from me. I will be back!

Update on my initial review. I’m now downgrading to 4 stars. I stand by my 5 stars for the green curry. Downgrading based on other dishes tried. I’m only going mention one. The fried rice. My eyes were bigger than saucers when I saw the size. Massive. But I would prefer quality over quantity. The good is they stuck to traditional ingredients, totally rate that. The bad, way too much rice for the accompanying ingredients. It’s a fail if you don’t get the ratios right. Sorry, a fail… 3 stars. I’ve had two cracks at eating it and I’m feeling uninspired to eat...

The best thai i have ever have in my life. We ordered the satay chicken 4pc for entree and the pad thai wih beef and the cashew nut chilli jam with prawn instead of chicken. The first item to come out was the satay chicken skewers. We recieved 4 large portions of chicken on a skewer with the satay chicken sauce on the side. Tender juicy and not too spicy which i love! Soon after the cashew nut chilli jam stirfry came out. We recieved a large amount of large juicy prawns on top with vegetables and cashews spread below. Ive had a lot of cashew nut stir frys in my time but nothing like this. Crunch large amount of cashews with succulent prawns and beautiful vegetables with the most beautiful cashew nut stirfry sauce ever. It was a very large portion with 2 people barely finishing it! Then the pad thai beef came out and i barely had room to eat! But i had 1 bite and fell in love. Again, large portions of food. The most beautiful noodles ive ever had with the most tender beef and lovely tofu. Honestly if you are wanting to get thai, come here. Lovely family and great service. My family and I were in QLD from SYD for a wedding and there were 15 of us who showed up for dinner. Service was super fast. The food was so delicious. The most authentic thai restaurant I have eaten at. We called around for different thai places and they couldn't accommodate such a big number of guests. So we are very grateful to the ladies for setting us up. We ordered a range of dishes. Absolutely loved the curry puffs, definitely the best curry puffs I've eaten within Sydney and QLD (We try out a lot of thai places to rate and compare dishes) Roti bread was perfect. Consistency of the panang curry was perfect!! Not too runny not too thick. Just right! Massaman beef curry was a hit as well. Overrall experience here was awesome. Had amazing service from the ladies. The best thai on the GC! Hands down. We're back for a family reunion in April next year so expect us to take over the whole restaurant haha.
