NUDE AMIGOS COOLANGATTA — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

The place made a great first impression, and the setting was lovely. However, we experienced several issues during our visit tonight that are important to highlight.

Firstly, we understand it was a busy weekend, and we were told Micheladas were unavailable — which is fair. However, the attitude of the waitress assigned to our table (the young lady from brazil and glasses I don’t know her name) was quite disappointing. When we asked a simple question about the prawn ceviche tostada, her response felt dismissive and rude, to the point that I had to interrupt her. Throughout the evening, it genuinely felt as if she just wanted to finish her shift and leave.

Later, I ordered a margarita to go with my food. While everyone else at the table received their meals and drinks, mine never arrived. I had to wait nearly 20 minutes. Thankfully, another lovely staff member approached us to check in, apologized, and followed up. After an additional 10 minutes, I finally received the drink.

Despite the kind efforts of two other team members — including one who offered us a dessert as a kind gesture — the service we received from our waitress left a bad taste in our mouths. We were a group of seven friends and had planned to stay for more drinks after dinner, but the atmosphere made us want to leave. The food nothing special and over price.

Unfortunately, I won’t be returning, and I strongly encourage management to review the customer service approach of their staff — especially when there were only two tables in the restaurant...

This wasn't good guys...... Save yourself the hassle this place is another tourist money machine. I doubt you would see a local come here after the first visit. Hopfully after enough tourists have been through and stop coming they will either fix the menu and cooking style or change owners.

Food is as basic as it gets, boring, bland and long waits. I don't understand what is with the service is some of these places. They just forget they sat you down. We had to go get our own menus, own water, i almost jumped back there and cooked my own food! The so called "premium beef" fajitas were the biggest let down. I'm pretty sure the beef was porterhouse from what I could see, Chewy and dry. I don't get it.... you could use brisket or beef cheek (because you already have it) and do something with it and you could charge less and give a better dish 🤯.

Oh!!! And the CORN!! give me a break 😂 took 30 minutes for it to come out (wasn't busy) and then we get this cold corn that had seen the Char grill about 2 hours before it seen us! Didn't even warm it back up to hide the fact of lazy cooking!

This is why you guys get a 1 star because you're just here for a short time and you'll be shut because eventually people will give up on this level of basic Bad cooking.

P.S The tortilla chips are rubbish. Maybe try and make them your self instead of buying them in 💁‍♂️... just a thought.

$170 for 2 people...... for nachos, 2 drinks, a bit of cold corn and some...

Was passing by Sunday afternoon and decided to go in and have a look at the place and also the menu. A lady came up to me asking if I was right, and I told her I was having a look. I decided to go home (live locally) and then come back for dinner. When I went back at 4.10pm the same lady told me they were fully booked out (apparently all night). I looked around and they were heaps of empty tables and just the way she said it didn't sound right. I left and waited till 5pm and rang the restaurant to see if there was any tables for one available any time that night. After dealing with s robot who said stupid things when I tried to make a booking, I finally talked to a guy that said there were plenty of tables available all night and to just rock up. When I told him I had tried that and was turned away, he said they are definately NOT booked out. He said he would talk to them as to why they said that. Never heard anything back so ended uo eating elsewhere. Don't know what the lady's problem was but apparently just didnt like me and refused me a table. Won't be bothering to try again. I had already decided that if I had liked the food I was planning on trying the place for an afternoon taco and margarita. Not now. Strange how they push...
