Osushi is a coolangatta institution, I can't even remember what was there beforehand but they've run the KFC across from them out of business for good reason (not just because the quality of El Colonel's dirty bird is nose diving) and that reason is their high quality food (although I am impartial to a few asahi draughts when I'm getting on the sauce). In addition... the wait staff have always been good and the prices are fair (although not as fair as KFC, although KFC doesn't have draught beer, I guess that might be a factor in their failings). The crowd highly recommends the Nasu Dendaku, Asahi and booking in advance.. kungpai kangpai or however you spell cheers in Japanese.. xxxx

I went for a late lunch. most places have a break between 2 or 3-5 pm but this place opens till 8 pm! I ordered Kara Age, rainbow rolls, tuna tataki, and also some sushi from the sushi conveyor. Honestly, the tempura roll from the sushi conveyor was a little bit disappointing, the tempura was soggy, and the rice was dry. But I understand it was on the conveyor. Seems it was there for a long time. For the others, I had a Kara-age with a source for the first time, it was actually good. It was tasty so I forgot to take a photo of it before starting eating. The rolls were nice. I personally liked pickled ginger as a service on the table very much!

Used to be great! Now a food scam, Basic sushi at Nobu prices…. May aswell give them your money for free at this point, prices are extortionate! I have been going here for years and unfortunately probably won’t be back. Came and got a Teriyaki chicken plate (same they have had on their menu for years) although it had gone up in price which is totally understandable as everything does but not only did it go up, the portions went down… to the absolute BARE minimum. Here is a photo of my $30 chicken “plate” … yes just one small piece of chicken breast 🤯. I actually had to ask the waiter to double check the price and meal was right…

Great food but sometimes inconsistent servings - takeaway orders. I love the food but don’t you think it’s upsetting when one time you ordered a takeaway and the bowl is full, then the next time you ordered there’s a great difference in food quantity and quality ?? 😢😢 This has happened to me many times whenever I order takeaways with them, no problems with dine in orders. I can’t be bothered going back to the store and talk about it at that time, as I already had the impression that they do have standard servings that needs to be met. Also, I’m a local so I’ve been very observant with the food and service of the store.

To add, inconsistent customer service. It’s understandable that when it’s busy, the staff may feel stressed. But this one time got me.

Just today, Thursday morning, I’m the FIRST customer, ordered takeaway. This waitress was chit chatting to the chefs and laughing while she placed my order on the table - no eye contact, no bubbly personality, no greetings.

Stayed in the table for a couple more minutes just to look at the view of the ocean. Then this waitress said ‘Oh there’s people coming in. I’ll be seating these people here’ (Pointing at the table where i’m seating from. Bloody. I’m the only customer at that time, surely she can choose a different seating right? The restaurant is empty!! The table doesn’t even say it’s reserved and she didn’t mention it’s reserved, so.... 🤔 )

I gave her a confused look and she said the statement again and gave me an odd look. I then tried to pick up all of my belongings and order from the table. When I stood up, she dragged one of the chairs in front of me, almost saying that she’s upset or anything. Then stormed off to meet her 2nd customer of the day 🤔

This waitress has a black, curlyish hair; nose ring and tanned skin. Maybe i’ll grab her name next time and update this review.

Don’t get me wrong, other waitresses and waiters are awesome. I’m bad with names but this tall blonde white girl that works at night and the other short maybe spanish girl, are both awesome! Great attitude and service despite running a busy restaurant!

Set everything aside, they do have a great location (beachfront) with a good amount of seating. The food tastes...

My partner and myself have been going to this sushi restaurant for years and the for the past 3 months we have been going there a minimum of 1 time a week and some weeks twice. Each time we eat we have the exact same thing. My order is salmon sushimi cut thinly just like the salmon and on rice sushi on the train. I asked for it again tonight like usually and when I got my plate, it wasn’t done thinly. So I asked Nicely to the very rude waitresses that I had asked for it sliced thinly when order but it has not come out like I wanted. She took it back and I watched as she she spoke with the chef and then I could see that it was only then cut in half in front of me. The waitress returned to me with the sushimi and told me that they have never done that in the past. That was a complete lie and then said that there were new owners and they don’t allow the salmon cut thinly. Lie again they do it for other dishes. All I ask was the same amount of salmon on the plate to be cut thinly. How hard is that as they do it for other dishes. If it cost me $10 extra I don’t care. We spend over $200 per week at this place and this is how we are treated as patrons. I will be calling the restaurant tonight and also expressing my...

the servers staff is beautiful and nice, however, no one tell them how to put the order in the chicken. Yes, they will have talk to the customer, but they also will ignore other customers. The staff who like a manager (she wear the special clothing) help me order. And let me waiting 40min ,I know they are busy so I am not ask. Until I waiting 45min I am asking about my order. They tell me tell lose my order tickets, and tell me they cook my order quickly. And then I waiting 10 more min, until I saw the other table(who later then me) got their food. I can’t wait. I pay the sushi and go. Yes, when I wait I am too hungry so I get the sushi and they spend my 20 dollar for the three. I am not angry but I waiting in the wind and cold for the hot food, the end only got cold sushi. I am so sad about it. I saw someone think it is like the sushi train, but the price is twice than the sushi train. And I think the sushi train will not lose your order ticket. That price get the terrible experience !!!! When I pay the 20 dollars and still hungry. I go to the top noodle which near the o sushi, I eat some hot soup and udon, I...
