Conveniently located and clean . Great spot to rest and take it easy or engage in all the activities this part of the coast has on offer. | Check in was problematic as there was no street parking available and no opportunity to enter the car park until we had checked in. Fortunately , we had a friend who was able to commence the process of check in while we were instructed to wait in a 'loading zone ' behind the hotel which caused issues when a truck approached requiring this space to unload . We were then forced to circle the block until we got card access to the carpark. Not a great start to a relaxing break after a 4 hour drive! |The facilities were appropriate for our needs, washing machine and dryer, cooking facilities and quiet location considering it was on a busy thoroughfare !|On our 4th night we unfortunately had the interruption of a fire alarm at midnight to which we took the appropriate action and filed out on to the street via the stair well with other guests and awaited further instruction. We were surprised to receive no such instruction after what seemed a lengthy wait for the fire brigade . Communication was truly a bit haphazard that night . i.e. there was none. We all worked it out for our selves!| Trivia and raffle evening was indeed a bit of fun. The very engaging hostess Sharyn was a delight and this establishment is very fortunate to have her! |We have travelled alot around the world and apart from a couple of hiccups , Beachcomber provided a very restful break for...
Read moreBeachcomber International Resort is one of the oldest building at Coolangatta. I've been visiting this wonderful resort since 1992 and my family and friends loved it.
The rooms have been renovated and fitted with the latest technology; of course high speed Wi-Fi, a must for the kids. No holiday resort is a resort without Wi-Fi, isn't it?
Beachcomber has two pools, one on the roof and one on the first floor. It also has a full size tennis court, a gym and playroom. I got to teach my son table tennis for the first time, almost every morning.
I'm glad the underground parking driveway is conveniently located at the back where it is not busy at all. Beachcomber has eateries to dine-in or take-away right next to the building or simply walk across the road for more options.
We enjoyed the beach every day.
The staff are friendly, always helpful which means they are highly trained.
Special shout out to Sharyn who welcomed us upon check-in and to the wonderful Nikita who was willing and able to provide whatever we needed, whether it is for the ping-pong ball and paddle, gym room key or any tips about...
