We booked dinner for 6 at Specs on the first Thursday of the month as we were excited by going to a place that had a games night and beer and food specials. Unfortunately when we arrived (not at the time of booking) we were told that it wasnāt able to go ahead & the food and drink specials werenāt available. This was a little disappointing as it was the main reason we had booked. We ordered tapas, cocktails & beers. The food is a 5/5 stars- baked Brie and caramelised walnuts, potatoes, enchiladas were all amazing and the chicken soup was to die for. The food also came out quickly. My daughter ordered a number of cocktails and by all accounts they were excellent too! Unfortunately, although Specs has amazing cooks and can make amazing cocktails they seem to lack hospitality training. When we arrived there was only about 20 people including us and it was very difficult to get a drink ordered or any type of table service. I donāt think I have ever been given a can of beer and a glass and asked to pour it myself and then asked to use the same glass for the next beer that was finally ordered some time later. The beer cans then sat on the table that was crowded with tapas plates - sounds petty but I even tried to get the waiter to collect them to make more room and he didnāt bother If we had been given more attention then we would of ordered more cocktails and beers but we couldnāt even gain eye contact as the boys seemed more interested in checking their phones than making money. If they could fix this and have an experienced front of house person I would rate them overall a much higher star count & shout their praises to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moregood selection of beer, too bad i waited in line and watch everyone that rocked up after me get them first. the two blokes behind the bar were under the pump and the girls walking around that obviously canāt pour beer into cup just kept walking past, not a single acknowledgment for myself or the other person with me. no apology for the 30 minute wait after i had to get someoneās attention to be served. too bad the experience was less than average because the atmosphere was almost enough to bring me back, but i wouldnāt even expect a recommendation for me. all you have to do is let your patrons know youāre short staffed or undertrained, i honestly couldnāt care about the excuse just some communication would have been appreciated. 2 people behind a bar where one is making cocktail orders and the other is serving 15-20 people is just not...

I went to the bar and ordered the Gringa: Two crispy tacos filled with slow cooked brisket, pineapple, cheese served with spicy house peach and harbenero sauce
The sauce definitely has the flavour of peach but the harbanero really delivers a chilli kick. A really interesting sauce but I made sure to dip a small amount in on each bite. The tacos are well filled with plenty of brisket with the beef flavour emanating through, gooey cheese and a crispy outside make this a delicious meal, enhanced with a squeeze of lemon.
