I’m a Starbucks regular! (regardless of where I am) though I usually enjoy the Starbucks in Brisbane, especially the Grey St /South Bank location. The Service and Drinks are always stellar quality so that’s the Starbucks standard I’m used to happily paying for. Unfortunately however. whilst on a recent holiday at the Gold Coast, I sought after a Starbucks to grab my usual Frappuccino. Ever since before Halloween, my go to is the Frankenstein themed Matcha Frappuccino. As I’m not a fan of the chocolate chips, the grey st store swap the chocolate for toffee nut and caramel. I explained this to the staff member taking my order who wasn’t sure how to log it in so he referred to the duty manager (I’m assuming), or the manager that was on during that shift. She greeted me without a smile and was bluntly rude. She tried telling me that my drink was no longer available, yet I’d just purchased one the day before in Brisbane. Regardless of whether it’s festive, the drink can still be made with the customised additions particularly a matcha drink. Whoever is serving me is the face or immediate representative of Starbucks, so being met with such rudeness when I’m a regular that spends almost $10 on one drink I kinda expect a little bit more respect instead of being met with...
Read moreGood open style store. Located at a prime location. Limited parking during peak hours but orders are fastly processed. 3x 15mins parking's at the front. Or you can park at pay by metre or in the Oasis basement carpark nearby and walk from very short distance. Overall pleasant and ambient store layout but traffic can produce noticeable noise resulted in chalkenges in hearing each others conversations, even when you sit away from the road. On a windy day, there are no screens or shelters so if you decide to sit at the store (out in open), you just have to put up with traffic noise and weather elements. The other store at centre of Surfers was undergoing renovation so we had to drove all the way to this store but overall experience was pleasant. Only reason for giving 4 stars is that we were the only customers ordering, but staff was chatting away to each other and took a while for them to notice our presence at the counter, not 100% friendly as no smiles nor greetings from the staff...
