Went there with high expectations and it was a very underwhelming experience. The waiter showed us the table and we ordered two coffees, nothing came for a while until another came and had to order again. Asked for an almond croissant came out cold, wasn't even asked if we would like it toasted, when they deliver food its just dumped on the tables, it wasn't busy at all but staff certainly kept running around busy. We were asked still or sparkling, asked for sparkling of course, it's on tap; charged 8.5 for it a bit over excessive with the prices here. The pulled pork Benedict didn't go down well, the flavors were every where and the egg is just not what you'd expect for a Benedict. Great coffee machine, maybe after a few months they can improve their thin and watery coffee. Unfortunately at this moment in time just disappointed in the quality of service and food. For us the overall experience it turned out to be a disappointment.

I ordered a Korean-style matcha bun burger, however I didn’t taste any matcha in the bun. Additionally, I seemingly found a lot of dust in my food so that was a huge minus for the food. When I wiped the table, the tissue was literally covered with dirt and black dust, I’m not sure if they even clean the tables! For my drinks, I ordered an ube iced matcha which looked really good. It was enjoyable, but again, there was dust in the ube cream and also it lacked a bit of sweetness. For the price, if you want to have a budget friendly meal, maybe this isn’t the place. On the bright side, the staff were kind and talkative, so it was easy to communicate with them. Also there were a lot of people and pets, so the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Overall, the food was decent, but sadly the flaws in the food and cleanliness ruined the experience. Hope they can improve on that.

To be honest it didn’t live up to my expectations but it wasn’t bad. I ordered the dulce de leche croissant and scrambled eggs. The croissant was just not at all like how they present it. The churros on the croissant weren’t rolled in sugar/cinnamon which made that they nearly had no taste. It should come with dulce de leche mascarpone but I feel like they’ve only put creme anglaise on mine. Lemon balm? Didn’t taste or find it at all. Then the scrambled eggs. You could really taste that they were liquid eggs.. Portion was generous tho. The milk in my iced latte had clearly curdled, I think because they use normal almond milk instead of the barista milk which makes it more likely to shift. Staff was friendly! So overall, bit disappointed cause I had really high hopes but I think their other dishes might be a better choice.

Well, I can see why everyone raves about this place, but from a professional perspective, I felt it lacked the care and attention it deserves. The menu is creative, yes, but the execution just wasn’t there. It really missed the mark in terms of quality. I’m not sure if the team was understaffed or just having a tough day, but the energy felt a bit tense, and unfortunately, that translated into the experience.

I paid $33 for a steak sandwich with fries, and at that price, you expect something great. But the dish lacked care — from the quality of the ingredients to the overall presentation and flavour, the chips was just the left bits and pieces from the bag. I could go into detail about each element that didn’t quite work, but I won’t go that far.

I also tried a $27 dish that featured a house "baked" croissant — not made in-house, just baked. As someone who understands the baking process, I could tell it wasn’t given the proper environment to prove and bake properly. It reminded me more of something you’d get from a supermarket like Coles. The dish was also loaded with so much feta that it was difficult to get through — far too salty and unbalanced.

The coffee, however, was good. I’ll give them that.

I know this might sound a bit harsh, and it's definitely not personal — but when you’re charging premium prices, there’s an expectation of quality and consistency that just wasn’t met. Sadly, I wouldn’t go back. It was too expensive for what...

It's been a while since my wife and I had a night away without the kids, let alone breakfast out. After staying in Surfers for the night I went on the hunt for somewhere for breakfast early on Sunday morning. The Winey Cow popped up on my search "great coffee Surfers Paradise" and after looking over the photos and menu we made the decision to try it out.

Coffee was excellent! Great temperature for both the dine in and the takeaway we got as we left.

Food was really good, different and interesting. I had the Prawn Benedict and my wife the Lemon Curd and Raspberry waffles. Presentation of both was excellent, serving size was generous.

The staff were all very welcoming, it was about 7:30am and they had maybe 5-6 staff on so service was quick. As we sat we could hear them welcome each guest as they arrived, they were enthusiastic without being in your face, just felt welcome.

Ordering was via QR code or at the counter. We chose the QR so we could see the photos of the meals, this is handy if you're not sure what to expect OR you may feel anxious asking for sides/modifications in person.

Price was on the higher side with the two meals and 4 coffee's coming in around $80. Yes this is a lot for breakfast but it was a special occasion and we don't do it often.

Overall, really pleased with our choice, would most definitely go back and tell others the...

Had Chicken Burger - The chicken was almost black in colour instead of being a nice golden brown. It was cooked with the fat at too high a temperature I think. Any decent Chef would not have served it. My wife's fish was also more black than golden brown. Come on guys. You have a great little cafe - Serve food how it should be done or customer numbers will dwindle. Hi Jade. Came in today 27-8-2025 at1.30pm. I didn't say hello because I didn't want to be treated any different. I had the all-day breakfast because I thought there would be no way your "chef" could ruin something so easy to cook. I was wrong! Everything was over cooked. The poached eggs were hard and the fried haloumi was so tough even the sharp knife I had couldn't cut it. The croquette and bacon were also overcooked the meal once again looked like your "chef" couldn't care less about his job. The avocado and the tomato were very nice. I think that's because there was no cooking involved. Again, it's a shame as your cafe is lovely and your floor staff are really professional and courteous. I will...
