Wabisabi Sushi — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

I have dined at this establishment on a number or occasions, and was so impressed with the quality of the food. However during the last time I was there, I noticed that I had not received two items, being Kingfish and Octopus on the sushmi plate. I raised it with the waitress and she was told my the manager that they didn’t have either the Kingfish or Octopus at the store. At no stage was I informed of this. Upon paying the bill I was charged full price for the sushimi plate, in which I disputed and said that I am happy to cover the smaller plate cost as they had not served what was on the menu, and did not inform me either. I was told that I will be charged full price again for the meal, a second time, and proceeded to ask exactly how they can charge me for food that they did not serve me. There was no management that came out to talk to me about the dispute, instead they hid in the back and let the poor waitress convey messages from the back. A terrible lack of management, and customer service. I will not eat at the venue again, and I’ll be letting people know in the area not to as well. The lack of transparency...

Great food, great price, great service! Would be happy to recommend Wabisabi Sushi if your looking for good Japanese / Sushi. There was a mis-understanding with my order, but was sorted with great customer services. I think I might be helped out by the owner, felt like I was a guest in his house.
