Waited for toasted banana bread yesterday over 15 minutes, there were two people near the register and one making coffee, a young 20 something year old male and two women who looked around 30. They were talking, the dark haired barista said she made a special coffee for her partner who was on his way, the three were chatting between themselves. The two at the register finally noticed me and loudly said "That's your coffee there" pointing to the end of the bar from the register. I said "I didn't order a coffee" to which they replied "Oh, then that juice there is ready for you" I replied "I did not order juice, either." After a few seconds of silence they asked "Did you order food?" I answered "Yes, and I'm actually quite pressed for time, is everything alright" they answered quickly "No, no, no, we know you ordered food, it's almost ready." At this point I was ready to leave, 2 minutes later they handed me my banana bread hastily because they knew I'd been waiting a long time. They said again "your coffee and juice are ready for you too" to which I replied again "That is not my coffee or my juice, I wouldn't be surprised if whoever ordered them left because of the wait." My banana bread was burned on one side and uncooked on the other. I won't be returning after this, I'm happy to pay their high prices, but not when the service is this bad. I am more than happy to wait when the staff are busy, but they weren't, every other customer was seated. If I was the owner, I'd be having a chat with my staff, work is not for socialising or making special orders for boyfriends before serving their...

Park Cafe, wow !

Lovely owners and the staff working there are absolutely on the money when it comes to making you feel welcome, understanding your order and providing some great opportunities to taste something new on the menu.

I personally am a out of the area customer and felt almost at home with the style and vibe of the cafe. The one thing that really stood out was the balance of the local residents saying G’Day as well as those stopping by on the way to Canberra that were also welcomed with a smile equally.

I think the cafe has a great selection of : Salads Toasted sandwiches Fresh juices Cookies Vegan options

And most importantly ☕️.

Now let’s talk about the coffee..

FANTASTIC !

The bean 🫘 is Campos which of course is a favourite amongst the common caffeine addict and is definitely treated with respect by the barista working there .

Anyways enough with the review…

Stopped for breakfast on the way to Jindabyne from Sydney. Located just across Belmore Park. Lots of parking around the park and at the front of cafe. They do Campos coffee! Nice decor a mix of tropical and french cafe. It's nice surprise inside, have toilets too. (can't tell from outside) Lots of food options, fresh fruits and juices ready made sandwiches, frittata, salads and a la carte breakfast and lunch menu. I had poached eggs with sourdough and a side of salmon. Good portion of salmon, very satisfied. Hubby had bacon and egg roll, he said there's not enough bacon so ask for extra bacon. Had fresh apple, carrot, orange freshly made juice! So nice! Lots of sweets/patisserie, tarts, cakes, brownies. Tried the ricotta pear tart and it was good, just the right portion size. Staff were great, friendly and food was quick to come out. We will def be back here when we're back in area. Can't wait to try the maple & bacon waffle and...

Not what it used to be. The last few times we have been here we've been quite disappointed. The coffee is fine, not outstanding- I used to think it was the best coffee in Goulburn. I ordered a cappuccino and there was less foam than a flat white. Out of hash browns for the loaded bacon and egg, but at least replaced with extra bacon. The healthy brekky was lazy, the baby spinach was wilted, but because it was old, not wilted in the pan, tomatoes not cooked either, soggy bread. The mushroom and Halloumi were a saving grace. Last time we were here, we had iced coffees with cream on top, but had to get a refund because the cream was off. Thought we'd give them another chance and try again, but we probably won't be back.
