Zambrero Goulburn — Restaurant in Goulburn

Thoroughly disappointed with the food here. We ordered the soft taco encased in a hard taco, a burrito, nachos and a corn chips with a side of guac. Extremely small portions priced at just over $30.

The food smelt better than it tasted. The cornchips were just regular salted cornchips like what you'd get from woolies but miniscule in size. The guac was literally just mashed Avocado without onions, tomato, cumin or spices and lemon or lime. Just plain mashed avo. The burrito was average at best. The lamb spice was more like an Indian lamb curry than Mexican spiced lamb. The taco was dry, bland and flavourless. The chicken tasted like a can of tuna (obviously they overdid the slow cooking until it was shredded mush) too much Mayonnaise, Scant cheese and sour cream. Watery tomatoes. Nachos were very plain tasting.

They should follow the flavours of Guzman Y Gomez who do amazing authentic Mexican food. The older reviews state that under previous management it was a great place to eat, so I can only attribute this to newer management. We won't be...

yes...i was excited when Zambrero first came to goulburn...finally some fresh food choices for take away...or ANY way. but alas my shopping experience at zambrero has been less than friendly..let alone satisfactory! the last few times i have gone in to "grab" a tasty burrito or bowl..not only did i have to wait in a queue observing two sullen workers behind the counter (and one just WATCHING the other worker!) but neither offered a greeting or "we won't be long" courtesy. another time when only one customer in front of me...and only one worker...still no greeting courtesy. she just left me waiting while she painfully slowly attended to..and chatted with...the customer in front of me. i decided to leave the shop AGAIN and go elsewhere. REALLY don't zambrero goulburn...want customers to return? please put on more workers at busy times or get the ones there to show some courtesy to...

Completed an online order. When I arrived to collect, there were 3 staff members, one completed a customers order and walked away, another was competing an online order and the third was still serving customers. I waited 8 minutes to collect my food. When the last staff member finished serving his customers, he looked at the menulog/doordash driver who had just walked in BEHIND me, and asked what his number was. I was completely ignored and when the staff member finally looked t me to ask what I wanted, he was extremely rude & blunt. Got home to find NOTHING in our order was correct, half of the kids meal missing, items missing from some tacos but added to others, no sauce on burritos and absolutely nothing but meat and cheese on other tacos.
