Went down to redcliffe thismorning expecting the markets, however found they wherent on so instead we decided to have breaky at little lamb. We arrived just before 10:30am and start at table 28. After about 15mins of sitting I went up to ask for menus as I knew it was table service. 10mins after that we where ready to order but no one had come to get our order. Looking around I knew no one was taking order so I went in and asked if we could have water for the table and our order to be taken. 20mins later a young girl came out with water, I asked if we could order. She told us that she would send someone over. After another 15mins of watching other table that sat after us get their food ordered, I went inside to the counter and asked if I could order. I was informed that it was table service and that they will send someone out. 10mins later finally got our food ordered to be told that they where busy and I would be 30min wait. This was fine. However after 30mins of waiting still no food. 45mins had past and still no food. We wait over an hour and check to see where our food was to get a reply of "what did you order again, we can tell them to cook it faster" We notice that they where handing out lunch menus and people that had sat after us had their food. At this point we got up and left. All I wanted was my French toast as I hadn't eatten and was hungry. We left at 12 with no food. Drinks that where more ice then milk. And hearing that the table next to use also was waiting on orders to be delivered as they had forgotten them.
This was absolutely ridiculous service. Not once did anyone come over to the table to check if we needed anything or think to ask if we had received our food. Will not be going back. Walked out with out paying for drinks, because if I have to wait over an hour for food not to turn up the least they can do is pay for the watered down milk in...
Read moreDisappointing with Rude Ignorant Staff. Regular diners to this restaurant and it’s adjoining Royal Curries restaurant. Food is always good and service is good. Cocktails are well made and the Manager greets you with a smile. We decided to dine with my in-laws and other relatives at a 6:30pm sitting. Entrees and mains were served and food was to its usual good standard. Whilst we were finishing our bottle of wine and cocktails my father in law went inside and paid our bill and then returned to our table. We finished our drinks and left with a thank you to the staff and began to walk to our car, until a waitress from Little Lamb followed our party of 7 down the street to tell us “You haven’t paid your bill”. Knowing full well that the bill was paid, my father in law and husband had to walk back to the restaurant to clarify that we had paid with the manager. The manager was explaining to his waitress that she needed to check the system more carefully as we had indeed paid. Father in law and husband began walking back to where we waited when I noticed another waitress #2 glaring at me. I approached the waitress myself when she asked what what table we had sat at. I wasn’t sure of the table number but she rudely informed me that we hadn’t paid our bill. I walked back to Little Lamb and at this point I asked to speak to the Manager. The Manager was berating the Waitress #1 in the restaurant next door and walked in to apologise for the first misunderstanding when I advised him of Waitress #2’s accusation. Whilst the Manager was angry at his staff and apologetic and informed Waitress #2 that she should check the system before accusing customers of not paying, the whole staff experience left a bitter taste to our meals. Would not recommend unless the Manager serves you and takes...
Read moreA very disappointing experience. Visited 20 November 2020, 19:30pm. Our table of 3 ordered drinks and 3 meals - 2 burgers and a parma. Parma was satisfactory, the Schnitzel burger was average at best, and the BBC burger is the reason for this review. The menu stated that the BBC burger comes with a HOUSEMADE beef patty, but instead we got a thin, clearly processed, rubber/McDonald's-like patty. I questioned the waitress about this and she relayed the question to the cook and/or manager, who briefed her on what to say to me when she gets back to us. The waitress then came back to our table and told us that the patty was "definitely housemade", to which I replied that it's clearly not.
It's worth adding that while all of this was happening, there was 3 or 4 staff members clearly discussing us and the situation, one of the most likely the manager, who never bothered to approach us.
I left it there, we finished our meals, and went to the counter to pay the bill. The girl who helped us at the counter asked the usual question of "how was everything", to which I replied that it was all good except for 1 burger. (She was definitely aware of the situation!) She again insisted that their patties are housemade, and I told her it's clearly not.
She then offered to take the meal off the bill and my partner said no that's not what we wanted or needed. The waitress repeated herself and I told her to do what she needs to do. I paid and we left.
Needless to say this was a very unpleasant experience - at a restaurant with potential, but poor service, and sub-par burgers.
I will not be back and I will not recommend...
