Slow Smoke Bistro — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

I wouldn't recommend this place if you want nice staff or a quick bite to eat and to get what you asked for. The pic attached is supposed to be well done... it was so bad it was left behind. We got there at 6.30 and didn't get our food until about 8.00 and was told it took longer because the steak was to be cooked well done. Well the veges were overdone but not the steak. The drinks took forever, the 2 girls there were really really rude and I almost thought it was a "Karen's Diner" restaurant. I was at the bar trying to get a drink because the table ordering app was all over the place, as they tried to give us other people's food and drinks, but not ours. The waitress walking near us said to get out of the way in a condescending angry voice and proceeded to shove past us while we were trying to buy a drink. Not one of us even had a good enough meal. If the food was bad and the staff were nice, I wouldn't have left a review, or vice versa, however everything was bad. We couldn't even drink to dull the evening as the drinks weren't coming out either. It would probably be ok on a night with no people, as the menu looked great but even that, had a disparity between what it was, and what the menu said. One main thing was that the phone menu had these jalepeno like poppers, however on the hard copy menu it left out there was jalepenos in these.... so if you don't like spice, you wouldn't be able to eat it. Anyway I hate leaving this review however I'd hate to go there thinking I'm going to get a typical smoke bistro. Like Hudsons which is second to none, it's perfect, this place...

@slowsmokebistro is an American-style BBQ located in the Redcliffe parade, almost right in-front of the Jetty! The restaurant is super nice and cozy with a nice interior. The staff was so lovely and welcoming! 🥰

The American-style BBQ includes brisket, pulled pork, chopped chicken, sausages, and thick cut pork ribs. You can also get mixed board if you wanna try a bit of everything! 😍

They also serve some delicious burgers, wings and some other mains, so there is basically something for everyone! 🙌🥰

The pork ribs were absolutely delicious and they’re definitely the best I’ve tried so far! 💯 The meat was so tender and the flavour was soo good! 😍 The burger and the barramundi were also delicious with lots of flavour! 🙌

They also have sauces that made in-house available for you to try on the side. You can also purchase them for $15 each! There are 4 options and the spice levels range from “kinda hot” to “oh god why am I doing this to myself” 🤣 I actually liked the higher end which is called “Hot to Trot”. Sadly I forgot to buy one to bring home 😩

We also had the honour of trying some of their new desserts and oh man…they were so good! The apple pie was amazing and the maltesers cheese cake was next level! 😭🤤

Highly highly recommend...

The staff did not make you feel welcome and when they bought the food out it was not one that would expect from a customer point of view. The music was way too loud especially if you have a seat next to the singer making it difficult to have a conversation without rating your voices .music is there to accompany the atmosphere not to be a rock concert where the music was bursting your ear drums.

The staff need to do more in customer service and be more approachable and happy to be doing their job but I cannot recommend this restaurant to any others coming for the area and feel until customer service improves then it was not a place I would re visit.

Also the food was over cooked and the do a board of food coming out I would have expected it to be piping hot but it was medium to under being hot. The food should be the number one as this board cost over $125.00 but it was pretty ordinary to say the least and not worth that money spent on this Board if food.

They have you there for a period of time then you must leave but with the music being so loud 30 minutes was enough to endure and leave this place.
