I have never been so disrespected by or disappointed in a business before.

Owners are the rudest people I've ever spoken to. Called them as they requested I verify I was a genuine customer after leaving a review, and rather than listening to me, they spoke over me the entire time, offering NO solution to the problem and told me they will not accept me comparing their butter chicken to any other butter chicken I have ever tasted. This doesn't make any sense.

I never once swore, abused or demanded a refund or replacement from this business. I, from the beginning, stated that the order was placed Friday night. Not Saturday, not Thursday. Friday. I rang at 5:00pm yesterday to discuss the review, as you requested, after I finished work. The entire 22 minute phone call I had with you, I was trying to say that the way you responded to my review was inappropriate and unprofessional. Except I wasn't allowed to speak for long enough to say that.

I am very confused as to why you are lying and saying that I demanded a refund and abused you, swearing. It's a shame I didn't record the phone conversation where you loudly spoke at me for the duration of the call and didn't hear me out once. You belittled me for saying your butter chicken was underwhelming, which it was.

You failed to acknowledge my issue, called me a liar, and now you are spreading lies online to try to discredit my feedback.

You really should be ashamed in your behaviour towards us, your potential future customers who love Indian food. I would have gladly returned if this was handled correctly.

This whole situation reminds me so much of the episode of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares - Amy's Baking Company. Lying about customers instead of admitting fault or at the very least acknowledging my experience.

Original review: Ordered butter chicken and naan bread. Butter chicken was underwhelming - lacked any flavour?? Garlic naan bread was okay though, generous with the garlic. Website experience was good.

Add on in reply to owner: Wow, original review was 3 stars after feeling like leaving 2 stars due to the butter chicken. After owners response, now leaving 1 star. Unbelievable.

The order was made under my partners name as he was picking up the order. My email address was used for the online order. I will gladly call you to tell you I am a real disappointed customer and am shocked at your response to my review.

You claim all patrons are aware that you have a money back guarantee - I placed the order online myself and I didn't see that anywhere. Also didn't notice two different butter chicken options on the menu.

My partner tried the butter chicken first and claimed it tasted like "nothing". I agreed, it had nearly no flavour at all.

I'm happy for you that so many other customers love your food and especially butter chicken. That is why we chose to try your restaurant over the other indian restaurant close to our home. However, after trying it for ourselves, we didn't see what the fuss was about.

It is such a shame that rather than just professionally responding saying you couldn't find my name in your order system and could I please call to resolve the issue (which would easily get the point across to anyone reading the review response that you aren't sure it's a genuine customer), you decided to make me out as a fraud and boasting about how successful you are for the entirety of your reply, with NO apology for my experience.

Not at all the correct way to handle...

I placed an order from this restaurant via Uber eats at 6:34pm. The food never arrived until the next morning. When I called the restaurant they were extremely rude and showed no concern for what had happened. I mean ... just own up that you forgot about the order or something. Don’t go acting like people are making things up. Indian food is just like any other food. And it is not fair to treat customers with such rudeness and inconsideration. I’m thoroughly disappointed. Will never order from you ever again.

• as for your reply to my review, it just shows the lack of professionalism from you. You never knocked on my door as the door was actually open pending the order. I never received a phone call as you claim. The food did not arrive at 8pm as my door was open and I could have easily heard or seen someone pull up and walk towards my door. You keep emphasising that all that I wanted was a refund. You think I’d fuss over $30 or whatever the cost was. I just wanted accountability and an explanation. But you guys were rude and very inconsiderate. The fact that you can add that it was Brisbane “winter” proves the more that the food was delivered late as it was still warm in morning. I only called at 12pm the next day because I have a life and a job and Indian food wasn’t a priority before that time. Usually professionals start with something like, “we are sorry that you had a bad experience but .....”. I have read some of your replies to other people. It will serve you better to maintain professionalism and improve on your people skills. No one is a war with you. Reviews are for your own...

Those that know me best, know I’m a real critique and will say it how I feel! However I’ll start with if I could give beyond 5 stars I most certainly would! This food is AMAZING! And Ravneels butter chicken! OH MY GOSH!

And they servicing are great! Infact they pack that much into the container we had a slight spillage (but would rather overflow than not getting what I pay for!)

I have searching for 14 years for REAL genuine and authentic Indian food! Last time I had it was 14 years ago when I had a Indian housemate cook it at home!

I am not only super impressed with the food! But the staff and the owner also!

Busy time to go in and order (5pm), and the owner stopped what she was doing (even though there was a juniors staff member there that could serve me) to have a chat, explain what they have to offer and actual show genuine interest in me!

Also they genuine interest in helping the community is impressive! Not long ago there was a community post about somebody I believe that was leaving a DV situation, and had no food. Whom put their hand up and asked the person to drop in and get some food (for free)? The owner of Ravneels.

I can’t recommend these guys enough! Look forward to many more meals!
