Went to shingle inn yesterday with my mum, grandma, My son and daughter. Absolutely horrible!
We all ordered after one another and each came out at different times. Waiting over 30 mins for my grandmas coffee to arrive which was cold and asked for it extra hot. after we had already got everything else she ordered after me. Cafe wasn’t busy. And was only 1 other booth table and 4 tables around the other side. My daughter who is 2 had her baby chino bought to the table when touching it, it Felt extremely hot in my fingers. Told the lady to see if she can remake it for us as it’s to hot. She said no worries and took it back. After waiting over 10 minutes nothing had been bought back. My mum Went up and asked and got told it had been put in the fridge. Not only did it not get remade. Cold milk, then steamed to hot milk, left out for a while milk should never be put back in the fridge to cool then be served to some one! After mum come back to the table as they told us they will bring it out we waited another 5 minutes until I went up and asked where it is. The lady was rude and told me she was to busy. The store was not busy! Asked the lady where my daughters baby chino is and told me she’s bringing it out. I told her no to just give it to me as we have been waiting ages. And I told her you should never put milk that’s been steamed back in the fridge she rolled her eyes at me. Grabbed the baby chino out of the fridge behind her and put it on the bench. Not once did any one come and check on us as they knew we were not happy, nor did they apologise or remake anything or offer any complementary anything as we told them we had been waiting ages no apologies from any one. Disgusting and horrible service not to mention the price for what you pay for! $12 for a bottled drink, soggy side of chips n sauce and a baby chino feel like the price is so high just to receive...

When the plates were finally removed the tables did not get whipped down not very good at all. Cleanliness is for every...
Read moreI was very disappointed with the high tea experience I had today at your establishment. I initially placed an order for 2 high teas at the counter with a young woman which then was overseen by a younger gentleman to complete. He didn’t seem to know how to process the order when placing it on your machine, and required the assistance of another staff member. It seemed a small eternity before the order was finally placed. Upon the arrival of the food platter, I found the savory dishes to be quite dry. An example was the mini frittata which was both soggy and rubbery which indicated to me the frittata was cooked in a microwave for too long. The scones didn’t fare much better either in terms of being dry and crumbly, unopposed to being soft and moist on the inside. My first visit and possibly last. My friend and I did not consume all the dishes, and both feel we didn’t get great value...
