We were so embarrassed at this particular Coffee Club at Capalaba Park shopping centre this afternoon that we have vowed never to return. We normally go to Coffee Club at either Victoria Point or Cleveland but had an appointment at Capalaba today so called in for a coffee on way home. We are both in our 70’s and 100% understand the need for and requirements of using the signing in process during Covid times. Normally we can scan the QR code & complete details at our table before ordering at counter. We were stopped from doing this by a staff member & told to do it at entrance to shop . But there is no provision to sit while doing it there. We used hand sanitizer & had our own pen so there was no danger surely . I filled in mine but not my husband’s (he’s more computer illiterate than me !) . I know very well that I should’ve done his too but my hip was hurting so much. We’re married so I definitely would’ve told authorities about his movements if contact tracers identified me . The girl behind the counter demanded proof that I had completed it, I hadn’t screenshot it so she had to show me (with a huge sigh of exasperation) where to find the proof. We couldn’t be served because my husband hadn’t done his. I asked if we could sit to do it, was told no - had to be done at said bench. I didn’t get the young lady’s name but it was 3.05pm today (Monday 25th January) at Capalaba Park shopping centre. I have never left negative feedback anywhere before. But this lady was extraordinarily rude & has no understanding of customer service. I might add that we then went further into the shopping centre to another coffee shop & spent our dollars there. Yes, we did complete both of our QR code requirements there while seated. Bad move Capalaba Park...
Read moreI had such a wonderful experience at The Coffee Club Capalaba Shopping Centre today. I ordered the Pulled Beef, Bacon and Cheese Flat Grill, and it was absolutely delicious – perfectly toasted, full of flavour, and really satisfying. You can tell that the kitchen puts care into every plate they send out.
I also want to give a big shout-out to the chef. I don’t know his name, but he’s a younger guy who always has a smile on his face. Every time I’ve visited, he’s done a fantastic job – not only with the food but also with the positive energy he brings. It really shows that he takes pride in his work, and it makes a big difference to the dining experience.
The staff here are equally amazing – so friendly, approachable, and always happy to help. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed and looked after. It’s rare these days to find a place that consistently delivers both great food and great service, but The Coffee Club Capalaba really gets it right.
Highly recommend stopping in – whether it’s for a quick bite, a coffee, or a sit-down meal, you’ll always be greeted with smiles, tasty food, and excellent service. This team deserves recognition for the effort they put...
Read moreToday is my third visit to the coffee shop, twice coffee to take away, once for breakfast, none of the experience makes me happy, the staff here is very lazy, I have to wait at least 10 to 15 minutes every time I buy coffee, in fact, the store Not busy. This morning I noticed four female staff chatting and drinking coffee while waiting for the machine to finish making the coffee, and they didn't seem to care about the time of the guests. 5 minutes after I placed the order and paid, the waitress who placed my order came over and asked me what coffee I bought again, I told her again, and then she went to the cashier again to operate for a while, and then again In the past five minutes another waitress came over and asked what coffee I ordered, told her again, she walked over to the coffee machine, and it took me a while to give me my coffee. I know it's a chain store, but the food and service at the coffee club in Cabalaba park is the worst, except for the coffee, I'll never...
