Well, I have left great reviews for this restaurant in the past, but sadly, today they have lost a regular customer! My friend and I arrived at 12:45, seated and then ignored for almost 15 minutes, no water, no drinks not even a menu. There were at least 8 staff on the floor for less than 30 people!!! We moved into the air-conditioned area as we were getting a bit hot and still no water, no drinks, no menu, until we asked for them by attracting the wait staff attention. I ordered the Couch Potato Burger, with the mash & gravy on the side. My friend ordered Caesar Salad with added chicken. Our meals took more than 45 minutes, less than 30 people in the restaurant and we did ask in regard to the wait, the staff member did go to check. She returned to inform us there was only 2 in the kitchen. Let's dump the chef in the poop! As a chef by trade, 30 people with 2 staff should be a breeze!!! 1. Very dry chicken on BOTH meals. 2. Bad service 3. Overstaffed with no skills or training 4. We could see through the door into the kitchen and every time the door opened there were at least 3-4 staff standing inside the door chatting. We were initially ASKED if we would like to speak to the manager at which point we both said YES. A young gentleman came with badge saying "Team Member" and after speaking with him another female came to speak with us, still not the manager. After we finished our meals a "Duty Manager" came to speak with us, and as per the previous 2 apologised profusely, but did offer us free dessert, neither of us wanted dessert, free or not and were then offered a free drink, we also refuse this as we had had 2 already, had finished our meals and ready to depart. We paid full price for ALL our meals and drinks, even though we had terrible service and terrible meals - We won't be returning to The Point! The entire situation was handled extremely badly from start to finish, a total embarrassment for myself, my friend and the staff involved, not to mention the business!

Our first, and last visit to The Point this evening. The place wasn't particularly busy but there was a table of about a dozen people seated when we arrived. Service was slow but when we did order we were told there was a half hour wait. Not a deal breaker and at least they told us. We had the Cajun Shrimp appetiser and it was definitely not Cajun. No taste at all. My wife had the pork belly salad and I had the arvo schnitzel. My schnitzel was under cooked and oily. My wife said her salad was OK but half way through she found something cut her tongue. It was a piece of glass, or hard plastic. By that point we had both stopped eating. The manager did comp the salad which I think was the minimum that he could have done. The pictures attached here are from after we had finished eating. The last picture is the glass/plastic. Never again. Too bad because we have just moved nearby and it would have been a very convenient place to take friends.

I booked for 8 for lunch today and ended up leaving and going upstairs. Your menu is no longer suitable for just a small lunch ! We are a FB Group of Glenda's and I felt terrible suggesting "The Point " today. We have met there a few times before and loved it but today " The Point " lost our business , unfortunately. Previously , we could enjoy meals for around $15 as members , now the average price is around $25 plus , it was disappointing that we all had to move upstairs for more affordable options as your outside space is lovely , later we noticed it sits empty . I'll have to check next time if you have cheaper / smaller meals back on the menu before booking again , otherwise we just go elsewhere Disappointed.

A friend and I were in Redcliffe for an event and plan to have lunch somewhere and decided to try the The Point cafe bar and restaurant. We were certainly impressed! The layout is spacious, modern, bright with wooden and metallic fittings. See photos. Everything was clean and well presented.

The staff and service were great too. The waiter, on training, had a tag to say so and found out answers when she didn't know them.. all with a good happy demeanour. She was well supervised by another member of staff.

The food was delicious. It was hot and came very well presented. We ordered drinks that were elegantly served in nice glassware. The atmosphere inside was good and wasn't over air conditioned or heated. All-in-all a terrific experience. We will back back again and we would certainly...
