I ordered a dine in cappuccino and told the lady I would be outside. I went back and confirmed the order was to have here. She confirmed a second time. I sat at a table outside. After ten minutes I went in to check. One guy looked at me about 5 times and kept ignoring me, presumably because a person was taking a drive thru order at the front counter register. There was a total whole group deer in the headlights when I asked after my coffee, I wasn’t upset so again confirmed I’ll be outside (that’s the third time). One staff member came and opened the door so another staff member could place my coffee on the table. I thanked her and she then advised that they don’t bring coffee to customers as they keep spilling it, so customers have to get their own on a tray. I gave her a withering look as a barista can’t handle walking with a coffee??? But she was polite, so I didn’t push it. I did advise her though that I did confirm with the lady that I would be outside, that I don’t usually frequent Zarraffa’s (and probably won’t again) and I apologised that I didn’t know their process, but to be fair, I wasn’t advised either. I then asked for a spoon and received a wooden one 🤦♀️. To be fair, they were all polite, just not the calibre of barista...
Read moreI used to get a coffee here at least 4 times a week, but I think it has changed ownership. I went there recently after not having been there for nearly a year, i asked for an extra shot of coffee and vanilla syrup, which i couldn't taste either of, it tasted like a warm cup of milk with a slight hint of coffee flavour, and there was no hint of vanilla flavour at all. I thought maybe they were having a bad day, so i went and ordered the same thing a couple of weeks later hoping to get a decent coffee this time, but no luck i got the same thing again, more milk flavour than anything else, and paying over $8 for my coffee it would be great if it tasted like one. I won't be giving it a third try. Maybe they need more training on how to make a real coffee. And maybe more chat with the customer and less chat with their work colleagues might help, 🤔 seems more important to them to be talking to each other about the weekend and whatever else then making sure the customer gets the coffee...
Read moreThis Zaraffa's is quite impressive I must say, but there have been a few occasions where they have messed my order up, other then that the staff are all welcoming and friendly. I have a dairy allergy, hence the reason I order my drinks with almond milk, which they usually specify on the cup but sometimes when I take it and just leave I arrive home to see the order is wrong meaning I need to throw it away wasting my money. This has only happened a few times but it's sad to see my money being wasted every now and then because they fail to listen completely. One other time I ordered a toasted ham and cheese croissant, which when I received it it was hardly toasted and was like eating straight cheese which is almost unbearable for me. Another wasted meal. Other then that the staff make up for the few mistakes made sometimes and I would recommend swinging by if you need a quick coffee or want to grab a bite to eat...
