It was my first time visiting this place during late lunch around 12.30pm. Small but cozy, clean and quiet, and they have outdoor seating as well. I imagine sitting outside reading a book accompanied by good food and coffee... but at the end I didn't choose outdoor seating because the traffic was too noisy 😀.
I ordered orange crispy chicken on waffle and it was quite nice. The size was generous, however the orange honey sauce wasn't enough to give the flavour of the fried chicken, so I felt like just eating fried chicken (which was taste nice, but I expected to have orangey flavour for this dish). Read moreVisited on a rainy day, and it left a lot to be desired. The waitress barely acknowledged us and pointed to a dirty table, which wasn't a great start. The menu, printed on wrinkled and greasy paper, looked unappetizing.
I don't know how the cafe is with high Google rating, and it was a complete disappointment of our experience. When we tried to order, we were told there were only two food options available that day, with nothing else from the menu. The excuse? They claimed they were "a bit busy," but the cafe was nearly empty!
It's a real head-scratcher how this place got such high reviews. We ended up leaving without ordering anything. Definitely not...
Read moreCame here on a whim for coffee, best coffee in ages and the menu looked so good we had to come back for breakfast the next day. Spicy scrambled eggs were fantastic (and hot!). The acai bowl was fantastic! Flavourable and filling. The vibe inside is really nice and staff were lovely and didn't say anything weird, which is always a plus as a visibly queer person! Outdoor seating area is a bit grungy, but spacious for a small group and it was far nicer sitting there than squeezed between a car and a wall on the footpath like you are at some outside...
